WD can move Burrows & or Higgins around all he wants, putting lipstick on a pig doesn't change the fact it's still a pig. They are what they are, older players on the back nine of their careers.

In another 30 Games , we will be saying the same about Daniel.

The core is getting aged

Daniel is definitely on the back nine of his career, and he's making too much money, but he's still producing points. I know he's getting paid to score goals, and, you like to ignore assists, but the truth is he's scoring the same as a guy like Patrick Marleau.

SJ want to move Marleau too.

Both Sedins had a terrific start but have cooled off immensely . They both have 1 point in last 6 games.

I don't ignore assists . I do believe more in one assist awarded in a goal and not two. I believe more in first assists.

Also I look at goals per line and 5 v 5. Now that Vrbata has stopped scoring , the twins productivity has dropped.

This team struggles to score goals and numbers on the top two lines reflct that now .
You know I have said over and over we have a 14 mil center on the first line. We will continue to struggle if that stays the same

I know Zuccarello is struggling this year but I find he is usually involved in scoring. Could a Bieksa trade work there?

They're unquestionably on the back nine, but all players go through slumps over an 82 game schedule, it's a long season. I tend not to view things in small windows, as I said, it's a long season.

Without the twins the Canucks are an older version of the Oilers, absolutely not someplace I'd like to go, therefore, I'll never be in favour of getting rid of them until there's someone to replace them...which there currrently isn't.

Also, I'm not in favour of trading players that are 1) still your best players & 2) are your number one and two franchise leaders in scoring.

He's a pending UFA, if Bieksa is moved there has to be future parts involved.

I agree with most of this but I believe in one franchise player not two. The Sedins are not Malkin and Crosby or Kane and Toews.

A similar comparrison was Marleau and Thorton and both were asked to waive NMC by SJ. I don't mind keeping one aging contract but 2,3, o 4 is crazy IMO

Leafs have been such a garbage franchise, in terms of on-ice product!!! Grossly mismanaged (kinda like the Canucks), owned by mentally unstable person and now two competing massive corporations...it just goes on and on and on.

#Canucks trade babble unnecessary: just wait on Kassian return, then switch him w Burr. Could do wonders for 3rd line pic.twitter.com/j7ll6qxt4w

Kassian is the key to our success.
