If you want true happiness find one that cooks and cleans and will get your beer during the game. A man can't ask for much more than that.

So Higgins+Kassian out, Vermette in = cup win?
- bezz44[/quote

As long as they're decent(at least a 7/10) looking I agree.

Agreed, I wish everyone else had the sane mentality. I swear, there's more drama in this league than during my final 2 years at high school.

Canuck-related post(for my boy Marwood)

This post caught my eye over at Bruins HF:

as some of you know i was at one time involved in the whl but am now in law enforcement. just got off the phone with an old friend of mine who is now involved with the canucks. says bruins contacted the canucks and have been shopping eriksson hard. some names discussed on both sides are eriksson, spooner, bartkowski and krug. on the canucks side, he says bruins have interest in burrows, kassian, sestito and edler. not a 4 for 4 blockbuster but trying to come to an agreement based on salaries and other future potential deals that are close. canucks apparently really like spooner but do not want to move edler. he also says the lucic to edmonton rumors are really going through the league amd he thinks they have offered lucic but the oilers also want subban AND hamilton! lol...so doubt anything gets done there. the target from the blues is also berglund, not oshie and he "believes" the blues want mcquaid and paille. as dom says, things can break down all the time, but found it interesting.

- Nucker101

I think Burrows and Eriksson are similar in their risk/cap space so that could make sense. We also know they really wanted Edler before

Looks like Benning really wants his boy Spooner. Not much of a scorer but a good playmaking center.

Ok I'll put my middle aged hat on for a second - last words on it.

The positives far outweight the negatives, much like anything else in life, effort brings rewards....but you've still gotta pick the right person who can put up with your poop!!

- LeftCoaster

OK 1 last post on this before we switch to hockey talk. I will repeat what I was once told. Picture your significant other as an old person and see if you can see yourself sitting with her and have meaningful conversations, laughing and joking around then she is the right one. Because when everything fades and the lights are out it is that ability to maintain your sanity with the other person is what makes marriages work for a lifetime.

He has been harping on our lack of speed, same as Willie. I imagine that means Burr, Topsixtito will be on the first plane out as soon as something decent pops up. Krug would be a nice pickup. The tricky part if it is Burrows will be salary

Say's he's not close to a deal, we also have lots of (average) centers on the team now.

Hasn't Erikkson played, internationally, with the Sedins in the past. Might be a great fit and then move Vrbata ( if Mungo hasn't traded him ) to the 2nd line with Bonino.

Yep, I remember he said once in an interview (when he was with Dallas) that if he played with them he could score 40 goals easily.

Enough of the Swedes already, will need to change the name of the team to the Ikea Canucks. Get some good Canadian boys who won't disappear in the playoffs.

The first few games it looked like Vrbata was going to have 40...

It would be interesting to see how they play together though. The way teams have been playing them lately- not pressuring Henrik when he has the puck along the boards, something has to give.

Apparently Vantel sent Bieksa there but he ended up in the other side of town.

Past chemistry with the Sedins would hopefully slide Vrbata down to the 2nd line with a slightly more legit top 6 of Sedin-Sedin-Eriksson/Higgins-Bonino-Vrbata

Sadly Mrs Lums rarely cooks and is averse to cleaning. Luckily she's far more than a 7/10 though so I'll allow it
