Dammit why do the Leafs always suck against Carolina?! |

I'll say it now... sign Santorelli long term - SofaKingBored
I'd second that.
Horrid game though |

We suck against any team in the bottom 5 of the league. |

I thought there was some good effort in the second half of the game minus Franson's boneheaded play. I just don't get what is required to make them try that hard for 60 minutes. It's like Semin spiked their water bottles with whatever he's on and it wore off after 40 minutes. |

I really hate talk about breaking up the top line when we are 10-2-1 in the last 13 games but I feel JVR would be better suited with Kadri. Then put the workhorse santorelli with Kessel |

Leafs have been a great possession team (if you're not talking Corsi/Fenwick) in the 3rd. - TheMussel
How else are you measuring possession?
They've been better this year at closing out games (i.e. not losing), but they're far from "great" and there's been plenty of fire drills and Bernier or Reimer standing on their heads to end out a game. |

I'd say try Gardiner on the top line with Kessel and Bozak.

Randy was shuffle'n them up. I don't think it was a lines issue tonight |

I'd try Gardnier in the parking lot or the bottom of a (frank)ing river. |

I'm glad they pooped the bed in this game. Hopefully they wake up for the rest off the road trip. If you need to give up points in the standings it's probably not damaging giving them to Carolina. |

If you take a look at how long the Leafs actually possessed the puck. |

I don't think Garidiner will be good on forward. It's not worth the trouble. Beside some really stupid plays he had some really nice plays with the puck. |

I know. But JVR would be much better with Kadri then Bozak. |

I really think that if Gardiner didn't have to make initial breakout passes, his game could improve. Any time there's pressure on him behind the net, he looks like he's having an anxiety attack. |

Good point. Seems like they need games like this |

Bad game for sure but being outshot every game needs to stop. If Holzer is in the press box on sat and Gardner is playing, poop better hit the fan at the ACC |
