The oilers are going to win tomorrow 6-3 and go 500 the rest of the season. What every oilers fan hopes happens deep down inside. I don't know what to think of this change. I said for years, the oilers need leaders and depth not plugs and support players. Hope tod can teach better then Dallas.

This is the longest "rebuild phase" in history. They've screwed up so many times they're almost beyond saving... This is what their problem is, of coarse people will disagree but its the truth. THEIR DRAFTING SUCKS.
Drafting Yakupov instead of Galchenyuk, Forsberg, M. Rielly, Dumba, Trouba or Pearson... All who have amounted to more.
Drafting RNH instead of Landeskog, Huberdeau, Scheifele, Couturier or D. Hamilton... RNH is way to small and weak.
Hell even Hall over Seguin, Gudbranson, Johansen, Skinner, Schwartz and Tarasenko... Yes Hall puts up points but he's got an attitude and seeing as how the others are doing, I'd of at least picked Seguin, Johansen or Tarasenko over him...
Paajarvi over Zack Kassian in 2009? Practically the same size but Kassian is way tougher and has a lot more grit.
2007 they had 3 1st round picks... Gagner, Plante and Riley Nash. When they could've had Voracek, Couture, McDonagh, Shattenkirk or Pacioretty lol.
Yes their whole team needs to be reworked but the people in charge of scouting and drafting should be first to go. Then the coach and get someone in who will trade for size and toughness. They really should've tried harder for a Lucic or E.Kane to go with Hall.

I campaigned for T-Segs, but it was merely because I'll always draft a center.

People like that piss me off. The ones that assume that the players in conversation for first overall weren't ever more than like 2 players every year.

Yak or Murray. Galchenyuk missed like 97% of the season. I lol hard at anyone who thinks Trouba should've gone there.

Nuge or Landeskog. I suppose there was some support for Larsson (probably this idiot from youtube) or Huberdeau, but taking Dmen high is a risk and drafting out of the Q always seems riskier than anywhere else.

Hall or Segs. That was in. Gundbranson blows.

I agree with him (frank)ing up on 2007. That draft could have set this franchise up but they blew it and basically set the team back 2-3 seasons.

And if he wants to female dog, female dog at drafting outside of the first round. Oilers have nothing outside the first round. Like... Pitlick and Lander. Oh and Marincin. Well, Reider too but they needed Kessy to punch faces with Moroz and Abney. But thats basically it since the Gagner draft.

I would just like to say, that people calling Tyler Seguin a number one centre are lying, considering he's played wing for 90% of his career and even last season which was supposed to be his breakout at centre he and Benn alternated all the time.

Its like every year that tons of teams draft useless meatheads hoping for the next Lucic. Fails. While another team just picked actual good hockey players and did not fail.
