Sometimes he has been the best skater out there, more often than not its when the games out of reach but you start to notice him more. If hes in your top 4, thats not a bad thing at all.

I agree. Nuge shot has never looked better. He has great flashes but he took over games better in his rookie year. He was also given more room and not keyed on like now that he has built a rep. Ebs and Hall barely show up lately. Ebs a little more lately but that is easy cause he was so awful this year. I wouldn't trade Hall or Nuge but Ebs I would consider. Shultz takes a lot of heat for bad reads and pinches but forwards don't cover for him or other defense on this team. Watch a really team they cover for there D and skate there asses off especially if they lose it. The Oilers either half ass it or go for a change. A lot has to change. Attitudes and work ethic come to mind for me.

The players have got to be getting sick of this I hope they stand up and make a difference than fake an injury or get down on themselves. They have been doing that for years. A new coach with experience will help but it is the players that need to change.

Is the effect that finishing last will have on the core worth getting McDavid??? Tough question unless you re trading Hall or Nuge in my opinion. Hall for sure wont like being 2nd best in the room in my opinion.
