Well as long as the Rangers and Flyers and Sharks are still in business there is a huge market for a big name winger like Hall. A deal will surface sooner or later I think.

Hard to see an NHL team moving a franchise type D like him anytime soon. Too few and far between. If it became clear that moving Hall was necessary. What's your most realistic dream trade?

Hall for Sean Coutourier, Matt Read and Brayden Cockburn
Hall for justin Braun and Logan Couture
Hall, Klefbom, Moroz and Petry for Shea Weber.
Maybe we add here or there but that's the principle returns that would make me Boner.

Oh man. I hadn't even thought about it. I assume something along the lines of the Seguin trade. Not many teams have all of what I'd want. Something like M Staal (the Eriksson), Miller (the Smith), Lindberg (the Morrow), and a pick for Hall and Gernat/Musil/Davidson? I dunno. It's hard to tell with Staal going UFA soon.

The other route I can think of is something along the lines of Byfuglien, Kane, a goalie prospect (Hellebuyk or Comire), and a pick for Hall and Marincin. I don't know. It'd take some workshopping on both sides, but that's the gist of a deal I'd make including Hall.

Stick to the plan and actually acquire the filler pieces as you go (the Pouliots, Faynes, what should have been Ribeiros/Roys) until the lineup is competitive. Klefbom's looking like that future (not too distant) top pair guy we've been waiting for, Nurse on the wings, a season under Draisaitl's belt, a new coaching regime, and a little bit of lady luck. Sucks where EDM is, but talking about trading Hall is just going to bring about trolls who think the 25th overall pick and a 2nd liner will get it done.

Don't force a trade and certainly don't trade a premier forward for 3 minor pieces

I'd think you'd need to get more then the seguin trade. Hall is worth more then seguin was at the point of the trade. I would be very upset to see a similar deal to that
