The only problem with Fleischmann is his $4.5M cap....I'd probably take him if Scuderi would accept a trade to Florida.
Bergenheim is a perfect 3rd liner for us but we seem to have too many of them already. That said, I'd take him on the Penguins without blinking.
We MUST check out Nick Foligno's availability. He's one piece I'd try to acquire for sure. |

Mr. Barnaby... with all due respect. It doesnt even have to come to scuds accepting a trade to florida. florida and every other team out there is not gonna take a overpayed bottom pairing d-man with over 2 years left on his deal. If scuds was an UFA... hell mayeb, MAYBE, if he only had one more year left and the pens took some salary back would that work. only way someone takes back scuds for a contract equally bad with multiple years on it. this is even with suds making less than cap dollars the next two years. sorry bud. scuds could maybe go for a clarkson / vinny /umberger/ semin kind of player. actually... a couple of those might not be a terrible idea |

I'd do Scuds for Vinny. He's 1 mil more expensive, but he'll expire at the time as scuds, and the difference is that we have a need at top 6 where as we have no need at d. Philly tried to make him work on wing and it didn't work, but maybe, just maybe, he could mesh with Sid or Geno. Also, Philly's defense is a dumpster fire. Even Scuderi is an upgrade and they'd actually be getting cap relief. You know, I think it may be worth the gamble.
Umberger is garbage, and Semin sucks and has an absurd cap hit. Pass on those two, I'd rather have Scuderi. |

Since NJD have just thrown in the towel this year (acquiring Gomez HA!), the time is now for Jags.

We should make it happen NOW. Jagr would bring all attention from the league.
Part of me would like to see Jagr and Malkin together... |

I have been banned from almost every board on HB but the Leafs one is very touchy. One ref they have there is pretty cool though, Yeti I believe is his avatar.
One ref over there Dozer, went on a massive power trip and publicly broke every HB rule in the book going after me in a thread, banned me; then apologized for the tirade, but didn't lift the ban.

Dude...
Joke that I found in bad taste aside... What do you see in Spaling with the Pens going forward in the season? Is he looking more and more like an overpriced 4th liner, which is my thought, or does he have upside that just isn't happening yet? And can he be packaged in a trade due to being on Crosby's line which might inflate his value a tad? - Guile
Nobodies died or anything yet
So that makes the joke clever and funny
lighten up

I would like to see that as well but, I think Jags with Sid would be amazing; think about it let Sid and Kuni dig out the pucks, do all the hard work and let Jags just rip them into the net.
At this point Jagr cant be expected to create his own offense, but he sure as hell can finish plays.

He said I got banned because I trolled when I said "Komarov for a 4thRP?". Amazingly touchy. Couldn't believe when I heard his explanation for the ban. |

With the panthers having an abundance of cap space, I would think they would retain some cap. I cant see how it would be a problem if it meant getting rid of him and opening a spot for a younger guy |

maybe they'd even keep 1/5 a mil or so to even it out . vinny as a 3rd line center and bump up sutter, or move sutter for a perron for example would be kickin |

He overused his referee's power. Perhaps my proposal wasn't good... I wonder if Palmer went on their blog and proposed something..what kind of ban would he get? |

Depends which proposal he made. Letang, Maatta for lupul would make him a god over there. Or he could go the other way and say scuderi and dumoulin for kessel which would lead to an execution |
