I'm surprised there's not more kasparitis fans - nateca44
I am a huge Kasparaitis fan. Never mentioned because I consider him a Star and they were asking for NO STARS only.

tlusty and boyes seem to be the only possibles.
foligno, tlusty, boyes/kpoecky/fleishman, boedker/vermette, stafford, ryder/brunner, ward, all seem possible.
ahhh good ol bridgevile... played much of my youth roller/deck/ice hockey there. shouffs makes a killer fried bologna. man I'm hungry. |

Yes. Many of those guys will have a good price. If the price was right I'd get Kane but I think the price will be prohibitive.
That said, your list has many interesting options. Hope we grab a couple. |

other teams can and will beat any offers we have. they have morissy and trouba, among other young d prospects. they seem to have found a goalie. if I was the jets only a strong forward prospect would be the start of a deal. I doubt even DP, BB, and our first would get it done and anything else is an overpayment fpr a guy who will get moved on talent and potential, but no huge results and questionable attitude. |

Take off the home team colors and assess depth charts before you make such comments. Bertuzzo is/was listed as the team's 8/9th defensmen entering the year. Behind a couple of strong prospects like Harrington and Pouliot. 24 games does not make a 7-8-9 guy a 6 on many professional teams. Serviceable yes. But I think you are over valuing him. - wreckage
You are making me laugh, can't spell, negative opinions and I am sure you have Fleury in your hockey pool. Greiss has been all you could want in a back up. If he keeps it up for the year he will be a starter in Edmonton next year as a ufa signing. |

Yeah and I don't think $1M will be able to retain him next year.
Anyone would take a chance on Lindback? He's been strugling in Dallas...why don't we give a chance to Jarry or Murray. I don't know If it's a normal thing to have a young goalie as a backup. |

Lindback was good when he was a back up on a defense first club. I do not think he has the abilites to play at this level. His size helps him out a lot, but he isn't very good.
I think the reason you don't try Murray or Jarry stems from the theory of letting goaltenders mature through the ranks. They, more than any other prospect, need time to grow in each rank because of the way the game is played. |

So I saw that R.Nash has a shooting% of 23 while at even strength, while his career average is closer to 8%... That regression should go over well in NYC.

They gave Fleury a chance to step almost right in. I know he was a 1st overall pick but why not give Jarry or Murray a look? Perhaps Zatkoff was outplaying both in training camp or whatever. |

Nash is so overated it's not even funny. He's having a great year though. The guy has some skills and knows how to protect the puck with his Large body. |

I always thought of him as a great talent, but never a true superstar. With the proper piece in the middle he could be a consistent 40 goal scorer and 80 point player. |

I'm not any fan of spaling by any means so far. And this may not too smart, but I want the pens to get younger. Nothing against Jokinen or what he did here, and he's certainly better then spaling...but id just trade for Jokinen Jr in Tlusty. Spaling will be fine eventually on the fourth line...overpaid..but fine. Lastly just don't want to trade any of our forwards right now - YouMeAndDupuis9
Just like Hornqvist is a perfect fit for 87, Tlusty would be fantastic with 71. I think his game would mesh really well with Malkin and would make that 2nd line pretty solid. I also have no problem with Comeau riding shotgun with 71. He's a physical presence and has shown some chemistry with 71. Just need another skilled guy to do the finishing. |
