I'm against trading Pouliot, I feel he's going to be a letang clone. But that deal would be hard to turn down. Buff would only cost so much because he is a one of a kind player, no one else in the league is like him and he's pretty damn good at what he does, except burns but he's back on d. I would love buff, but I don't think despres and a pick could do it. Buff is a top guy and despres is a bottom pairing dman - znagle
Im not as hung up on keeping Pouliot as alot of people are on here, but that is a different debate.
I think you may be right on Buff he would likely be pricey, but your explaination of him describes exactly why I think he is what we should be looking for. Depres is better than a bottom pairing dman on most teams, definitely top 4 on Winnipeg. |

Byfuglien is pretty much the perfect winger for Geno. Geez he'd open up room on the ice.
That's the kind of add that I'd be in favor of, and the cost wouldn't be that important to me. Pouliot is the real deal. I don't know that they'll be able to soak value out of him in Pittsburgh because he's not a lock for the top PP unit any time soon. But with Enstrom signed long term, I don't know that the Jets have a need for Pouliot, either. |

Sid gets the best wing. He's Kunitz "yesterday" as someone mentioned.
Let Kunitz go back with Geno |

And it honestly makes Spaling and Comeau more palatable. Spaling has done a really nice job defensively and in terms of springing that line out of the defensive zone. That's something you need with 87's line, ala Dupuis.
Comeau has had a couple of chances, too. |

For now it's been the best thing to do other than the Bennett/Sutter with Geno idea. Lets win a hockey game! |

Fleischmann moved down to the fourth line for Florida. Maybe they'd take scuderi...get a skilled winger and replace scuderi with anything would be an upgrade as well |

I'd do it...but honestly I don't know how he's been playing. Apparently not well enough. |

I heard Sutter's name a bunch today. No way they should trade him now. In fact, they should have signed him for longer. He's really, really good. And in a variety of situations. His PK work is insane. From winning faceoffs, to winning board battles, to being the only forward still skating after being out there for too long. |

Bartsy disagrees
It's safe to say Sutter probably asked for $4-4.5M per that's why he took a two year deal from us. |

An OK period. Kind of feels like a team trying to figure things out. I'm sure the coaches gave them a lot to think about. |

I agree. I just feel they need to add by using their depth. I was never sold that Goc could come in and replace him adequately. |

It's a pretty good example of why shots ≠ possession. Boston dominated zone time, but the Penguins were able to get perimeter shots off the rush, and the two teams have 10 shots a piece. |

Not this Sutter. Goc could be an okay 3rd line center. Nothing special. Great 4th line center and penalty killer. |
