I see the Leafs blowing it up if their season continues to spiral. Couple guys there I wouldn't mind Pens kicking the tires on. |

It wouldn't really matter anyway because it can be retroactive to whenever they want(at least the last time he played) |

True, but its that "+" that would be the bulk of the deal. Assuming Edm doesn't want to move its 1st rounder, what would they have that the Coyotes would be interested in? Yakupov? Ebere? Those seem to be overpayments for Yandle, but what else is there as Perron is too little? - s0rcerer1984
what if it wasnt perron and it was yandle for eberle straight up |

Problem there is that most of the guys who would be available have long and excessive contracts. Clarkson would probably wake up from this two year slumber and fit right in with Geno, but he's got five years left on his deal, which no one is going to touch, and rightly so.

Definitely. I would say JVR was the best chance. I liked him when he was still in Philly. |

The value in terms of players are equal (ie, quality of play at their respective posistions), but Eberle is signed for so much longer & Yandle could walk as a UFA in 2016. Would Edmonton be willing to lose 4.5 seasons of Eberle for 1.5 seasons of Yandle?
If Yandle doesn't extend at a favorable rate with the Oilers (and he can't do that until Jan. 1), that is a heck of bad trade for Edm.
EIT: Very tough situation for Edmonton the more and more i consider it. Perron is moveable for lesser value (as he has lesser value), but getting an elite C or D & holding on to them is so tough when your city/team has issues that seem to make signing UFA's comparatively hard. |

Kane
Eberle
Yak
Perron
In that order. If we can swing a eberle and yak or eberle and perron I'm good with that.. but I really want e. Kane |

JVR would be a great addition to the Penguins. The cost would be high, but I would certainly be interested if he was available due to his age, reasonable cap hit, & years left on his contract |

I really want a Ferrari, but it's not really necessary when I have 2 other car payments and am getting by just fine w/o one.
All of those names will cost a bundle minus Perron. |

Elite players have NTC's. Pretty sure those arent getting waived for EDM. |

Sutter is playing pretty well. I would rather keep half that and trade for a Vette. Besided why would EDM trade 2 former 1st rnd picks for a 1st, Sutter and 2 D prospects? Sutter can walk after next season anyway. No body from EDM would take that. |

Do you want me to answer that? In all seriousness you can't tell me that Spaling has shown more offensive ability than Downie this year. Give the guy a shot. |

Because for whatever reason they probably feel they need Sill's physicality against the big bad Bruins....even though he rarely hits the ice LOL.

I doubt it because I would do it in a heartbeat. If thats all it took to get Eberle and Yakupov out of Edmenton, they would not be in Edmenton anymore.
Unless you were being sarcastic. In which case, never mind. Seeing as how the cap figures are all out of whack, you were probably just being sarcastic. |

Pipe down, Francis.
@Mackey_Trib: Jayson Megna will play tonight. On the right wing with Goc and Adams. Other lines the same as morning skate.

I think right now we make two moves going forward. Spaling in the top 6 doesn't work at all and needs to get got. I see us making a big move for a left wing for Sidney. That way, the top line can be x-87-Horny. Obviously doesn't have to be a blockbuster since Sid and Horny are lightning in a bottle, but you gotta give them someone that can actually produce on the other side. I'd want a guy on the same general tear as Jussi Jokinen, possibly a step up, but younger.
Secondly, Comeau should go from the top 6 as well, but this is much less pressing. We also have the guy that should be on Geno's right wing already here in Bennett, so this next move is both not urgent and fairly easy to execute. We just need a guy that can play the third line wing to keep Sutter's line productive so that moving BB up doesn't make us top heavy to a fault. Plenty of teams who will be sellers at the deadline should have that guy ready to ship our way. I'm not worried. |
