Kassian for Lupul. - thundachunk
Brutal brutal trade, I don't get the Kassian hate. We have been screaming for a player with size and skill for years and people are ready to give up on him after playing only 145 games in a Canuck uniform/172 in the league.
He hasn't arrived yet but that line has been dominating at times and if he was given the opportunities that other player get he likely would be scoring more. How many times the last 2 years has he made incredible passes to Richardson/Matthias/Sesito just to see them die on their stick.
He is better defensively and offensively than Vey, yet Vey continues to get PP and 2nd line minutes.
I don't have a problem with WD giving Vey cushy minutes as I expect he is trying to get him going but that doesn't make him a better player than Kassian.
Kassian will be fine and moving him now for a 1 dimensional, washed up, injury prone, overrated, P.O.S would be silly. |

NHL.COM FIRST STAR – JANNIK HANSEN, RW, VANCOUVER CANUCKS
Hansen led the NHL with five goals, converting on 71.4% of his shots (5-of-7) to power the Canucks (14-6-1, 29 points) to five of a possible six standings points. He recorded his fourth career shorthanded goal in a 5-4 win over the Edmonton Oilers Nov. 19. Hansen then scored the game-tying goal for the Canucks in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Anaheim Ducks Nov. 20. He capped the week by posting his first career hat trick, including the game-winning goal, in a 4-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks Nov. 23. The 28-year-old Herlev, Denmark, native has found the back of the net in three consecutive games for the third time in his career and first time since March 2-5, 2013 (3-2-5). His eight goals in 21 games rank second on the Canucks and are eight shy of his single-season high set in 2011-12 (82 GP). |

Yeah dude, wicked game. I had my homie with me, and he's a huge Blackhawks fan. We were sitting pretty close to the glass in section 104. Saw Kane get absolutely destroyed up close. It was nuts haha. - Gullzy

It's what happens here. At any time of the season there are at least 3 players, that need to be traded, benched or sent to the AHL. I can't recall a time when this forum wasn't lynching someone.
Basically, most guys on here hang out with pitch forks and torches, waiting to chase the player who's had a bad run, outta town.
It's a pretty fickle crew. No offense to anyone, just calling it as I see it. |

I hope whoever reads these threads regularly realizes that most of my "trade/waive/bench this guy!" is overly sarcastic. I would not move Kassian unless the return makes the team better in the big picture. |

Of course we do, and if i wasn't for the trade, bench, waive talk, we'd be bored out of our minds.
I just hope the players don't come here and read. They'd be crying in a their bathroom rocking back and forth. |

Anyone suggesting that Kassian isn't an NHL player and/or should be waived is cray cray. |

I generally understand when people are being sarcastic but sometimes the momentum builds ( see pages 10 - 14) I feel like I need to nip it in the bud. |

I can't be 100% serious here, I'd get into it with some of the regular posters who seem to change their minds on players almost weekly. It's an 82 game season, every non-star player is gonna have food stretches and bad. |

100% agree with you. American's use it as a political tool.
Christ, South Park did a whole movie about it. Love Terrance and Phillip.
WWE has been using political fervour for years when creating their villains.

Bo's 9th and deciding game just ironically happens to be against Cory Schneider. While it's much too soon to know if this trade will work out for the nucks and I still think Gillis should of gotten a bit more but it's gotta be pretty fun for Bo to get to face off against Schneider in a big game.
Regardless of the result I still think Bo sticks with the club especially considering Benning's comments the other day of wanting to keep him.

Good morning,
As you've been deep in conversation, I've been wandering down memory lane, thinking about my favourite Pat Quinn moments. RIP.
That, plus Hansen, Horvat and more in today's blog:
