As a small example, in 2011 they picked Daivd Musil, because his father worked for the Oilers I'm guessing, instead of picking a kid like Boone Jenner who was ranked top 30 and had a great to very good scouting report on him...this is why you're in this mess.

Why should any of our goalies listen to Frédéric Chabot anyway? He was absolutely horrible in the NHL. What could he possibly do to help our goalies? Maybe by telling them what not to do I guess? Why can't we get a retired goalie who was actually good?

Lowe: “And lastly (talking loudly now) I’ll say that there’s one other guy in hockey today that is still working in the game that has won more Stanley Cups than me. So I think I know a little bit about winning, if there’s ever a concern.”

The strange thing about that was Eakins comment at the end of his presser about how proud he was of the fans and then took a thinly veiled shot at Toronto. The presser was over, all he had to do was walk off stage, but he couldn't resist the urge to be a jackass. Eakins has a ton of problems as a coach but one of the biggest is just his personality. I've never seen a coach with a bigger mouth who's accomplished so little.
