No call. That's how games get out of hand. Amazing - madmike71
No different then the elbow to nielsens head right in front of the ref. Martin getting hauled down right in front of the ref or crosby cross checking nelson four times in the ribs. Again, right in front of the ref. |

After downie trying to take out boychuk's knee, I'm not sure how the isles are the dirty team. |

Boychuk is still a POS - sbroads24
He has downie trying to take out his knees four times in the game two times blatantly and hes a pos? Hornquvist punches visnovsky in the face and slams his head into the boards. Youre lucky the refs put their whistles away. Give me a break. |

None of that other sh*t was as bad as what Boychuk did to Malkin. Could have blow out his knee. I hope the same thing happens to JT tomorrow night. Let's test that surgically repaired knee. |

The score does have something to do with him. He gets paid to stop and puck and just got a raise. His save % in this game is unacceptable and all goalies have games where they have to come up big. He didn't tonight. Team had to score 5 for him to win and couldn't but wait not his fault - probably Gonchar's, Orpik's, his baby keeping him up at night - the point is, it's always someone else's fault.
LIKE OBAMA AND BUSH BEFORE HIM - 4 MORE YEARS WITH "CREAMPUFF" AS HE IS KNOWN HERE IN VEGAS! - Vegasman
Amazingly he played better than johnson. |

I like when Adams tries to hit people and falls over...
j/k, not really going there. Fun game. Isles look very dangerous. Both in the hockey sense and the injury sense, Martin and Clutterbuck are out to murder people. Boychuk and Leddy have made a huge difference for them (sadly because Donovan is a buddy of mine and got pushed down to the AHL).
Bennett looked like a beast again tonight. He and Sutter look very comfortable together, so in my eyes, great...now test him in the top 6 and if doesnt work out we have a great backup plan. |

Don't know if that's true because he lost but he is as the Penguin fans (only think) is an elite goaltender. Johnson is the #2 on the Islanders and beat the Pens #1 - not good for a team that thinks they are a cup contender.

Really? Downie was flying when he nailed boychuks knee, malkin and Boychuk were moving about half that and it wasn't targeted, malkin turned into him. Downie is a pos. |

Fleury made some good stops. He let Martin's get by him which was a bad one but other than that he was more solid than johnson. Islanders kept you guys to the outside for the most part. |

the early non calls totally (frank)ed up the game. You're right about the ones missed then, so the officials handcuffed themselves by not calling them. Both teams have every right to be jacked off about it.
Tomorrow we are either going to get another 'playoff clutch and grab' or 100 penalties as a make up for today. No wonder the players go nuts, and the fans.... |

Of course it wasnt. Malkin is a penguin. Everything means more and is more important when something happens to a self entitled penguin. We all know that. Dont worry im sure Mario is writing a letter to bettman as we speak. - Cptmjl
Yep, I'm sure you would have said nothing if we cheapshotted Tavares. And hmm, I wonder what team/what game prompted Mario to reach out to the commissioner. |

You beat my delete. Lost my temper. As far as mario writing a letter I wouldnt even talk about that if I were a pens fan. Id be embarrassed honestly. |

Boychuck has been nursing a knee injury and downie took no less then four full speed runs at the guy. He was skating at a mile an hr and clipped malkin giving him a cross check was the worst part of that play. Would have been a penalty if the refs didnt let five blatant calls go the other way. Tomorrow may be a shat show. |

No worries.
Well to be fair, Mario at least is not a hypocrite. He gave a great plan for how to improve the game and kept a really clean team for a few years. But no league-wide changed happened and we were kind of forced to bring a guy like Downie in the mix. |

All I am saying is that Fleury makes 5M/yr and Johnson makes ?? - shouldn't he outplay Johnson (especially at home) by a large margin? He was the losing goalie with less than a .90 sv%. As a longtime Penguin fan and someone who had full season tickets for 10 years when living in my home town it is evident that MAF is a marginal goalie. The Islanders look like a coming team while the Pens are banking on a goalie who is well liked by the fans, his teammates but to anyone else is just a marginal goalie.

Sidney Crosby failed to register at least one shot Friday for the 1st time in his last 33 games, dating back to April 5th in Minny. |

Unless u plan on trading him or have someone ready to take his place, what other G would be available to replace MAF after the season? The FA crop is not strong this year w/G's |

So if greiss comes in and plays lights out, can we expect him to get more starts? Seems like fleury is either getting shutouts or letting in 3+ goals per game |
