I haven't had absinthe since I went to Mardi Gras last year. I don't remember much of that night, and that was only after one shot. Oh man, it was glorious. The time before that, I was in Vegas for a bachelor party. Had some right before the escorts came to our hotel room for a special party and then next thing I know, I'm kicking the wall of a casino claiming I'm Godzilla.

Question to Oil Fans.

After Habs sent Bourque to Ana and Edm made the minor league deal i thought #dominoes obviously.

But i seriously wondered if a deal could be brewing where Habs send Tinordi or Bealieau plus some other stuff to Edmonton for Eberle or Yakupov. I know Yaks playing better defensively and hustling but realistically could you see something like this happening?

That was my gut instinct which was probably horribly wrong.

Fair enough - didn't think it warranted a plethora of laughing emoticons as per the previous poster. As much as there is positive's surrounding yakupov's play right now Tinordi and Bealieu are 21 & 22 respectively and are both NHL ready with potential to become top 2-4 D.

You don't think a package of Tinordi/Bealieu + Gallagher or maybe some picks or both would get it done or at least be close?

We can't be wasting time on younger guys with top-4 potential. We need a current 1D.

well if we could turn around and send Klefbom or Marincin plus some other stuff to Montreal for Galchenyuk or Pacioretty I don't see why not

Still my favorite memory from both of my trips to Vegas. I remember trying to get to that level of drunk for almost a year after it happened. It sadly never worked out that way (aside from waking up in the morning beside various girls).

Ok - i can see you guys are slightly sensitive over this issue lol. Not suggesting the oilers must move a guy cuz they're struggling just that it might be something that they'd entertain since they do need D pretty badly. I get you want a top notch D in return but those don't move very often...guess Yandle or Myers may be moveable but Myers certainly hasn't proven too much recently either.

I dunno about interest. If Gallagher had the ability to shift to centre, or if Beaulieu was a little further along in his development.

What we really need is a good all-around dman with a great Left shot. Beaulieu might be that guy a few years down the road.

True - i think Bealieu is a little further along then those guys (Marincin being the closest - probably biased here though) but even if they do having another strong D is very valuable.

Gallagher may not be the piece to add as you need a 2C - i was just thinking of a good player who could potentialy be used in a trade. I dont think the habs would be open to moving Pleks or Eller at the moment so unless you'd want Desharnais i dont know if they'd move a C. But fair enough - just trying to gauge another fan bases interest. I think the value there isnt lightyears apart and honestly would moving Yak for two NHL ready young players make the oilers worse right now? They arent exactly using Yak to the best of his abilities it seems (but yes i acknowledge in 3 years it could look like a severely lopsided trade)
