Sutter, Scuds, and a 3rd for Nuge and Yak.

Nuge is damaged goods who'll never be more than a 3rd line center and Yak is a bust.

Come at me bro

oilers are too poopty to defend anymore. go for it

Wait, that guy was actually arguing that Granlund and Monahan more 1Cs but RNH wasn't?

Being a centre on a team with a winning record = #1 centre.

Yeah, the trolls are out in force it seems.

Still thinking Eberle or Yak and this year's first for Yandle and Hanzal would be good for both teams. At least the basis works, haven't checked cap etc.

I like it.
I think we might need to throw in a decent prospect to get it done, but it looks good for the Oil for sure.

Those are my thoughts....
Losing faith in MacTaint as well. Think about it.
" Hey Mac, Our Defense is poopty, now that your about to over so what did are you gonna do?"
"I'm thinking we just need to add a whole (frank) load of no name players like Grebeshkov, Belov, Ference, larson,Fraser,Allie, Fayne , give some cash to Schultz and low ball Petry to free agency. That oughta do the trick".

"Hey Mac, since we built this team ass backwards from the wings in we should really look at our centers"
"Okay, how about I sign Boyd Gordon and then we can simply get rid of Shaun Horcoff and Sam Gagner, I think that will work out just fine".
"Geez Mac, I think it's safe to say the Dubnyk experiment has been a failure. He might make a decent back up, what do you think?"
"I agree, but since we have a patient fan base let's not go after one of the free agents this summer, let's trade for 2 more back ups and start a couple new experiments".

It's a good thing they don't keep score in sports because if this was a results driven business MacTaint would be fired.

That guy was (frank)ed but God damned it's getting hard to battle these trolls. There needs to be an emoticon of a happy face shrugging his non existent shoulders.

Gunna have to do better than that IMHO.

Getting two solid proven players for one guy who can be somewhat streaky and a pick that may not turn out doesnt seem fathomable.

Try again

1st round picks are worth quite a bit these days when you're snagging one from a bottom feeder.
Hell, doesn't a 10th over all pick get you a top 10 goalie?

Taylor for sure.seguin is awesome but I think that RNH will be somewhat comparable to him at some point, but Landeskogg couldn't sniff Taylor Halls ass .
Hall and Nuge >Seguin and Landeskogg

But yeah this team is absolutely built ass backwards.too many years of drafting wingers and midgets.
SpeKing of the Goddamned draft, if we draft outside the top 3, do you draft BPA or positional need? What's next on our 18 year old wish list? Defender? Goalie? Power forward?

This trade may work this year considering how deep this draft is. But its still an uncertainty. MAn you guys have had so many first round picks in the last couple of years and its got you nowhere.

Doesnt that say how first rounders can go wrong.

Its a risky trade. And Hanzal Is one of my favs. Guy does everything.

We've had about the same amount of 1st round picks as pretty much every other team, except the ones that chose to trade them away.

Also, you nailed it. The 22 year old,2 21 year olds,20 year old, 19 year old and 18 yeR old we just drafted in the past 5 years are collectively not good enough to carry the rest of the team to success. Who'd da think it. I mean, Hall was a first over all, he should be able to score a hat trick every night AND save 30 shots on goal as well.

I'd say positional need. I haven't really focused on the draft outside of Mac/Jack. As you get older you just don't follow these kids as much
