This snowstorm in Buffalo is insane. Unprecedented. Expected to have 100 inches on the ground by Friday.

If Sabre STHs are lucky, they'll cancel the season

Using that word, I'm gonna go ahead and assume that he's really Delta Burke or some other woman from the South.

They buried the Sharks last night 4-1. They played a man short cause one player was snowed in. There was no anthem singer.... They announced a crowd of 6,200, but it looked like there was maybe 3,000 fans there. They should have probably cancelled the game, but since the officials, and the Sharks were already in town they played.

Already 6 deaths. Feel bad for the elderly. No way any emergency vehicles can get on the roads. Those folks have to fend for themselves.

9 feet of snow over that short a time is just unbelievable.

It's unbelievable. Still 4+ weeks from the official start of Winter. I would think a state of emergency is going to be called up there soon. But with the airport closed, and the roads buried under that much snow, not sure what anyone can do. It's a real shame.

it makes me laugh how we respond in philly when we are projected for maybe 5 or 6 inches of snow.

utter pandemonium, people bolt for eggs and milk and whatnot.

99 percent of the time in anywhere close to being considered urban, that 5 or 6 inches is cleared away within hours. it blows my mind how people think they need to stock up on the staples in that situation.

maybe if we got like 10 inches or more, i could see. i understand its relative, but jesus.

I wonder if this is a first.... Hard to believe this.

All 50 states registered temperatures below freezing Tuesday morning, even traditionally warm ones. Temperatures at Mauna Kea on Hawaii's Big Island dipped to 31 degrees while Florida's Panhandle was in the upper 20s, with freeze warnings in effect.

I know. I'm not sure if this hit them off guard in Upstate NY, but is there really any way to prepare for 8 feet of snow?

Otto Preminger rules! Much better Mr. Freeze than George Sanders, Eli Wallach... And let's not even discuss Arnold.

i mean i know they get a lot, and are probably as well prepared for it as anyone.

but once you get into certain extremes, physics just comes into play.

i remember my buddy was in atlanta last time they got a little snow, and he said it was ridiculous because no one had ever experienced it. they didnt even have salt trucks.

all the salt trucks and plows in the world wont help you if theyre literally buried to the point of immobility.

He's the only Mr. Freeze! I was totally obsessed with that show as kid. I probably off the top of my head can name every villain.

It's out on DVD now. Adam West is doing a funny infomercial for it.

Have you checked out Gotham yet on Fox?

I haven't. But I heard it's good. I'm going to order the DVD's.

I wonder how many cast member from the 1966 Series are still alive.

The only ones I can think of are West, Burt Ward, Joan Collins, and Julie Newmar, and John Astin. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

and you'd have 36 hour advance non-stop weather reports to tell you about. field reporters on the scene outside. it's absurd.

it's ridiculous that not only do you know the pictured actor's name, but all of the others as well, not to mention have an opinion about all of them.
