Everything is relative in some way or another.

Well, I am inclined to agree with you (I do not need to go any further than seeing Tortarella's impact on a player... ahem... team's stats) but at some point I cannot throw away all of them.

Anyways... fun to see how it turns out. Personally, I would like to see a 30 year old with MS be successful and no longer tagged as "the guy with MS"... not that you were doing that.

See ya.

Well it looks like Harding's point is moot. Edmonton, Dallas, New Jersey and Columbus will take him. (according to Sportsnet and Edmonton Journal)
- Beatle_john

Harding didn't have a point.

The only thing moot here is your ridiculous advice to the Leafs.

Reimer is to inconsistent for my liking if he was a gd number one he would of made the saves in buffalo regardless of how bad the team played. I'd rather a vet backup. Not saying Harding.

I'm tired of guys like you sticking up for Kessel.

After Saturday night's game, I wanted to know if Kessel was going to put the loss behind him and just move on to the next game. I wondered if he was just going to focus on doing the little things right and playing his game. I needed to know if Kessel thought that the Leafs had enough talent to compete with every team in the league, and that they just need to bring it every time.

Now we will never know.

It's not a 'tag'

'The guy who can't stay healthy' and 'the guy who has MS' are not the same thing.

One is a tag, one isn't

Harding will get claimed IMO to much talent there for a cost of nothing.

this is the dumbest part - It's been nothing but obvious to anyone who pays even the slightest attention that Kessel hates talking to the media, and declines to talk to them most of the time.

we know this. The media knows this.

And on this game Jonas had put in the request and Kessel refused. He then waited for Kessel in the hall way and approached him on his way out. WTF did he think was going to happen?

idiot.

- Badge

As already stated by others he was whining and came across as pathetic. He seemed kind of mad and like that was his way of "getting back" at Kessel. He wasn't going to protect him. Like he was doing the guy some huge favour.

We get it. Kessel hates talking to the media. When his teammates that do talk for him start playing like him then I'll consider if he should have to take the bullet sometime.

I'm honestly a little shocked teams are interested.

Terrible story, but the NHL is a business. You can't take on other people's problems.

he's under contract for cheap and played well last season.

Broken foot thing... Meh, we don't know what it was about or who it was with (or I don't).

as for the MS - he's signed for just this year, and so far he's still capable (or was last year).

I'll be pretty surprised if he signs and extension anywhere though. 1 yr at a time from here on out.

He's younger than 35. What if he signs a long term deal and then retires due to medical reasons? Would the team be on the hook for his cap?

nope but good luck insuring that contract, so they'd still be paying him.
just can't see anybody taking the risk on any term at all.

Only team that could afford the risk and needs a goalie is potentially Philly... and they're already paying a goalie not to play for them for the next decade or two... doubt they want another one

Maybe some owner feels for the guy and signs him just so he can be comfortable. Sometimes there's still good people out there!

Philly is done taking gambles! DONE!

He's going to make sure it's know when kessel is rude and when he doesn't speak to the media. he had a (frank)ing tantrum on the radio like a 3 yr old at Walmart that didn't get the toy they wanted.

It was a disgrace. It was so ironic him talking about kessel being a professional and it's part of his job, and then he goes on the radio and acts like a 3 yr old.

I want Kessel to come out and completely dismantle anything Siegel or other media say. Call up Sutter in LA and ask him some pointers.

Nashville are pretty good so far this season.
- Pecafan Fan

We will lose all 3, convincingly.

It will only be a late season push that keeps us from a great draft pick. The big push at the end, during garbage time, will do nothing more than make our draft pick worse.
