u named roughly 90 players there.
I counted roughly 60 players that I could argue are better than petry.

so about 2/3rds of that group would be our number 1. wow

boychuk woulda been worth those two seconds.

hes a quality defender and can do a lot of things.

hes playing really well for the isles.

and I realize im doing the hindsight thing. but I get to cause I was chirping to chase him long before he got moved to the isles.

None of this surprises me. But of those 60 superior D-Men, how many are worth trading Eberle or our 1st for?
Now get rid of every name on that list over the age of 31.
Now take the remaining list and eliminate the ones that will bolt for free agency in 4 yrs or less.
Now take the players that are far superior than Eberle in value and cross them off.
Is there anybody left? Looks to me like we're either gonna have to badly over pay for one of these jerks or sit and wait for a situation to arise where a team needs to shed contract or cure a locker room cancer. Great.

Sounds about right but none of those guys would propel us I to the playoffs at the moment.

Lets be honest going from third last or worse to the playoffs is unrealistic and if you even do so you end up like Colorado. This team needs to make strides every year then gel and stay as a team. Heart, Hard work, a common goal with players buying in. Then you have a team. I may be wrong and I know we lost in OT but I think this team got some unity from the Ottawa game. Not playoffs but a better team moving forward. The players not buying in will leave. Don't hope to much so fast 1 point in that Ottawa game is good then lying down and dying. We also saw that Hall isn't are only star. Nuges stock is rising. That makes me happy. Goalies need to improve or leave we don't need to be last place to realize this it was a good try but not working. Hiller and Miller come to mind. Huge confidence comes from a much needed save. Hartley I do believe would help this team but hindsight is a terrible thing. We need a strong win tomorrow. Liked Dub and Sam but now I hope they lose. You re gone you re dead to me. Go Oil Go
