If Malkin is a "generational" talent, why cant scrubs play well with him, but they can with Crosby? |
|
|
|
Controversial hit? Wow has the NHL fan base become a bunch oh pu**ies if they think that was. The NHL defenseman's job is to knock the guy off the puck and finish checks! Even though I hate Phaneuf, It was a good hit! The only issue I'd have If I were a Pens fan, Why was it Malkin to do the act of coming to the aid of a teammate? |

I am not a huge Neon Dion fan, but i will say this; he hits hard and he hits clean. When was the last time anyone was seriously injured or concussed by a Phaneuf hit?
YouTube is full of Phaneuf hits sending guys flying, but they always get up right away. He hits square to the chest.
Now search for some Scott Stevens if you want to see questionable hits. |

Nothing controversial about the hit. |

Clean hit. Malkin... Knock it off. Very nice blog today rw... Much more my flavor. I can't believe bb ain't on pp2. While I don't think he has earned top 6 yet... He needs some pp time to strut his stuff. |

Crosby can do no wrong. Shut up. Crosby had the two best wingers on his line while Malkin was left out to dry with Dupuis (whom he's never played well with) and 3rd/4th liners. A comment like this is unfair to #71. |

Chill out hommie It was a clean hit perhaps one second late but a fair one. Good hit by Princess Phaneuf! |

Horrible hit. Typical Dion the Pylon.
Get him out there.
Leafs suck.
Kessel's fat.

Ehrhoff had a much better game last night nice to see that. How about Bennett on Malkin's line? I think that could work. What's with Comeau is he hurt? |

What has happened to hockey? Now a beautiful tough, clean hit like that last night is "Controversial"? And why are guys who throw clean hits getting attacked now for it? I hate these scrums and stoppage of plays over clean hits. |

I hate how "Headlines" exist only to get people to click on the article and are not related to the article itself. |

The hit was fine. At first I thought he got the elbow up, but he didn't. I'm also fine with what Malkin did. Maybe not the smartest thing, but it shows he's willing to stick up for his teammates. |

Except it was related to the article, he wrote a good piece on how it should not be considered a dirty hit. Like everyone else has said, "Have you even read the article?" |

Clean hit. Horny bounced right up. This team can't keep taking so many undisciplined penalties.
Great road game, but I hated that cross ice pass from Sid that gave Toronto life.....and a goal. The captain has to be smarter than that. |

very similar to the hit Phaneuf laid on Michael Sauer that ended Sauer's career. Unfortunately Sauer's helmet came off and he could never play again.
Clean but uses his over sized shoulder pads to hit players as hard as he possibly can. |

I agree with the blog, it was right on the edge of being late, but was acceptable.
Malkin should have let that go, it was a clean hit and there were two minutes left. The Leafs had good pressure on the subsequent 6 on 4 and almost tied the game. I hate seeing guys have to fight and the game get stopped for clean hits. Save that stuff for plays that are actually dirty. |
