It's as if they forget that Pronger backstabbed Edmonton, dictated exactly where he wanted to go and set a deadline on it and the Oilers diligently worked out a trade as quickly as possible to his and his wife's dream location, which incidentally handed them the cup and sent the oilers into a decade-long spiral.

And they're still whining about the one time a player that never played a game for them and probably never had an intention of signing with them chose Edmonton after being offered identical contracts by all 30 teams and isn't even that good or a player they'd particularly miss whether he was in Edmonton or not. Christ, I'm done with Anaheim and I hope the moment Getzlaf and Perry leave town all their fairweather mickey mouse fans move on supporting the local European handball team and the Honda Centre burns down in a Redwood fire.

Arbitrage theory suggests the Oilers would be huge winners if they were to do the exact opposite of what most people are suggesting. Theoretically a deal for Taylor Hall would solidify the Oiler chances on drafting a generational talent (McDavid). It would also get them another first round pick and at least two top prospects.

You can never fix a systemic problem from the bottom. The entire incestuous front office needs to be fired. Katz needs to establish a basic operating principle that no player who has ever worn an Oiler sweater will ever work in the Oiler front office.

Place the management decisions in receivership. Bring in a real heavyweight (a recently retired GM) to begin a reorganization of the front office and to hire a new GM.

Do not let the current group of clowns make one more deal or change. They are the problem. A new broom is needed.

He certainly does. Who would have thought that you could get Nikiten and Pouliot for $8.5m.

Edmonton has been my second favourite team . Way back to the WHA .Before he got to Edmonton . There was a high regard for Eakins . What happened ? What changes would Edmonton fans like to see to turn this thing around.. Not being a troll here . Really want to know how Edmonton fans feel it could be turned around.

Thanks

The NHL lets us take 1 player of our choosing from each team...

So an expansion draft scenario . No changes whatsoever to the organization as it is now configured ?

I think just any 3 players in the league would suffice. If they picked 29 players what would happen to poor hunt?

He would get to play 40 games a year but only pp.. He would come in for relief of Doughty or Keith

No cause they would basically pick the same team that Canada did for the Olympics. The organization would sit back and watch the cups roll in

The team sucks. Al Arbour couldn't coach this team.
