Burrows had a week off and he looked like a player that could use a conditioning stint in the A.

The three new comers Miller, Bonino and Vrbata have arguably been the best players on this team thus far. Jim Benning is going to have a gold statue outside Rogers arena in about a week.

Is it just me or does it feel wrong to hear outside commentators say positive things about a Canucks GM?

You only get a gold statue if you get to the Finals, it's platinum if you win one. He'll get a bronze one, then if he makes the playoffs it'll be remade out of silver.

All we have to do is get 1 out of 2, then we can go back to playing the Alberta teams

True.

Did he really do much there though? That was all about the finish IMO. Burrows looks like a 3rd liner at this point, not a terrible player but grossly overpaid.

I've had it with Hansen. Stated that about twelve times in this thread throughout the game.

So far, I know it's early, Horvat kind of looks like the forward equivalent of Tanev.

Hansen is a guy you trade at the deadline.

True contenders love to have guys like that for depth, and hopefully Benning would get back some sort of prospect or pick. 3rd rounder

Yeah, sportsnet had the Miller signing as the best off-season signing so far.

10-1 and a .920 SV% is amazing considering expectations were quite low for this team.

I don't think we will be having a goaltending controversy this season.

He made good on the broken stick blunder... set up Bonino. We only won by one goal so maybe you exaggerate a bit.

No shortage of (frank)ing (frank)head media (frank)ers claiming it was the worse signing of the season.

Miller was picked up while giving up no assets on a reasonably short term. His trade value is going up...something people also claimed he had none of. I said from the beginning.... this is win win. A usable asset that's a tradable asset... win win....

Im on board with trading Hansen. I think Burrows allows a trade this TDL.... I feel it... Jensen replaces Burrows in the line up and Horvat replaces Mathias.

I honestly not sure Hansen will get a pick even. 50/50 on very late pick or waive.

Room could be made by waiving Sestito and hoping he makes it to Utica.... it does open up the option that if he clears... he can basically serve the same purpose while playing down there.... on call up standby for when they need a knuckle dragger.... if someone grabs him, the Canucks make good by allowing him the opportunity to play for a NHL team that needs him more.

Miller won't be traded this season (the second year is the kicker) and he does have a modified NTC (can provide five-team trade list) so he has a bit of control over any trade that might happen. But I agree with what you are saying. Win win.

Pretty sheltered minutes for Horvat, 7:18 & no special team time, 1 for 4 on the faceoff, 1 blocked shot and 2 takeaways is ok.

Yeah we'll get more for Miller in a trade than we got for Lu.
