I'm not rooting for them to lose. That's why I want to see the coach fired ASAP. |

we all want him gone, but I gotta be honest, I want them to win. If they have to win in spite of him, so be it. The MASSIVE collapse that would have to happen for him to get fired is not worth losing this season. I am not willing to bet that if we throw this season out the window, give buffalo an awesome pick and give the reigns to this underachieving group to a new coach sometime around Feb-March that this management group will hire anyone better then Cappy, history says they won't.
Win now.. win in spite of this F*cko

Makes it tough when all signs point to another internal hire. Even if Garth wants a name coach, will the coach want to come in with the new owners not having full control yet and they may pick a new GM that wants their own coach? Weight should have taken over last year and we could have found out about Weight. |

What I am afraid of is that now that they won that Jack will think he is a genius and keep the lines exactly the same. Which means Strome buried on the fourth line and Nelson on the third. these kids are doomed under Jack |

I have zero faith in Weight too.. his work with the PP has been disastrous. Everyone always points to how he always has the damn chalk board whenever a play has to be written out.. rarely does it ever work. He seems to suck just as bad as his mentor.

I'm not as gun-ho on Weight as I was. I want a proven guy brought in. |

I have little faith, if any, in all three of the stooges behind the bench. Weight runs a hum-dum PP. Cronin's PK is as bad as any in hockey and as bad as his predecessor's was last year. Cappy? Well, its been beaten to death. I agree that this team needs a coaching change, but I would rather see them win with these coaches then lose to get rid of them. |

Problem is they fire Cappy it will def be an internal hire for the rest of the year. Next year I want a new coach though hands down. It will be a new ERA for the Islanders and the coaching staff needs to all be wiped out including the AHL. |

Am I the only one who heard Butchie say "Afro-American" last night during the telecast? |

Honestly, it was a battle for me to stay awake. I dozed off throughout the game. I wish I could have heard that and I'm not surprised at all that he said that. He was probably a few cocktails in. |

Facts all facts... I mean how many seasons did we all "know" had to be Milbury's last? Nothing is as it should be in the Bizzaro world known as Islander Country!

True but if that were the case Snow wouldnt be far behind him which to me would be a best case scenario. |

Agreed. None of us WANT to see them lose but its the only way to help the team. He will leave strome on the fourth line with boulton and martin wasting away just bcs they beat a depleted ducks team yesterday. Strome looked good btw. Unfortunately his line mates were expectantly a step or two behind. - Cptmjl
I want them to win also, but if losing means we get to dump this coach, I'm all for losing. Just make it quick and painless. We've all suffered too much. |

Only problem with that is you know Snow is not going to bring in anybody with a resume. |

You don't really know that. He earned back a few points with me after the offseason. Doesn't wipe out a history of follies, but IF..big if...Capuano does get canned, I'm going to reserve my anger until I see who he hires. If it's Weight that's a problem. If he brings in Bylsma or someone else with a track record, then that's fantastic. |
