If Tippet continues to missuse the younger players like this (keeping the talented young players out of the lineup for old farts, playing a group of players like its a game 7 with 27minutes+) this will be an accident waiting to happen. either due to fatigue or fatigue induced injuries/penalties they will get a loosing streak they won't recover from.

they won't be good enough to enter the playoffs and not bad enough to get a decent pick in the draft.

should sound familiar to leafs fans

Somewhere Ron Wilson is rubbing his hands together like Mr. Burns and having a good laugh.

As incomprehensible as it seems to just about everyone in Calgary and moreso with every Flames win, Bob Hartley's contract has not been extended. He was Feaster's hire -not Brian Burke's and my worst nightmare is that Burke will find an excuse not to resign Hartley at the end of the season and make sure his old pal Wilson is hired instead. So if Wilson gets a contract from either the Leafs or the Coyotes I'll be ecstatic.

I think one of the focuses at this point is for the Leafs to allow Reimer to dig himself out of the memory of last season's play. They are are attempting to showcase Reims in the hope that his value escalates for other GMs. I would think this is a call that comes from above Carlyle, a coach who has shown, he can barely muster to string two earned compliments for Reimer in any given season. Starting him was not his decision.

@itwasin: Since Carlyle was the coach who replaced Wilson in Toronto, I think you'll need to put all your hopes in Arizona hiring him.

I'm not shocked by the way the game unfolded. You could see the Coyote players were pretty much gassed by the 3rd period. Whether that was the 3 games in 4 nights, or like you say, Tippett playing some guys 25-30 minutes. I for one would like to see more ice time for Gagner and Rieder and less for OEL and Yandle. Is OEL really a -13? WTF

Both teams drew penalties for stuff that was ticky-tack at best. For Chrissakes, let these guys play hockey!!!

So I've been watching some of the Knights games recently and have been seeing how great Domi really can be. Why was he not kept up this year?

I don't really know. I thought he would make the team. I mean what could it hurt.
