Well you may be right but I have to think that he is more concerned about his nine game tryout than putting up points in Utica IMO...bottom line is that I think we need his game. Smart player and defensively responsible. If Hansen can make the second line by basically losing every puck battle he is in I'm sure Horvat can handle the third or fourth line...

Ya I wish that were the case but injuries are so common now I'm not sure TOI is as large of a factor as it used to be. The players are 'overconditioned' as well which in large part is why we see massive injuries in todays NHL.

Good point but the task at hand wasn't a full season in the AHL it was a conditioning stint to get back to the NHL. Sure he won't play 20 min in the NHL but his focus is there...regardless of ice time.

Healy should have been gone after Sportnet took over. PJ Stock too.

He was never in the NHL, he hasn't played 1 min let alone 20. He will get a few games and be set back to the OHL. There are older players in Utica we can bring up if there are injuries.

Isn't his task at hand to play as well as he can? Was he told to just sprint up and down the ice in Utica to get back into shape?

That said, I haven't seen him play. I'm not concerned about goals or assists as long as he is playing well and making few mistakes and measuring up well against bigger, stronger and faster players than he has faced in junior.

Honestly, with the way we're playing, it's better to send him down to junior than play 7-9 minutes a night. He needs ice time to get good, he won't get that up here.
