Unfortunately their fans have not been so quiet. It's like a flashback to 2011 on the Oilers thread. |

Miller got 'blown up' pretty good in Dallas, aside from that fact, outstanding.
Vrbata is a finder of prime real-estate from which to hit open nets; the rest of the Vanbase will remain skeptical...perhaps, all the way till the playoffs probably, but I think they are working out better than anyone expected.
My Rangers-rooting-friend was telling me you now have a catwalk across center ice from which to look down on the game- sounds amazing. I need to get another MSG game in sometime soon. |

Horvat has no points in 5 games with Utica. Definitely needs another year in junior to build his confidence. - Grumpy13
Horvat isn't concerned about Utica. He is concerned about his conditioning for the NHL. He has accomplished all he can in junior and time to see his game at the NHL level and we need it badly if we are gonna compete vs the bigger clubs. Horvat is a big body that can win faceoffs and skate. He is a three zone player which in many aspects we lack severely outside of Richardson and Bonino. With injuries coming (and they will) Horvat will have an opportunity to show his stuff and we don't want to get caught with our pants down on injuries again like we did last year in January. At one time we had 8 starters out of the lineup. Putting Horvat back in junior is useless...man I hope coaching and Mngt see that..

No it isn't. I have been watching. I don't think he is ready. Just my opinion. I would love it if he was but... |

This sounds like you are making excuses for him, when in reality, horvat will be a solid defensive forward, with limited offense at the NHL level, in all likelihood. |

I have hopes that maybe he gets a couple games in the dance and does well and they keep him but I have a feeling he is headed back to juniors. He hasn't shown me enough yet. |

Well you may be right but I have to think that he is more concerned about his nine game tryout than putting up points in Utica IMO...bottom line is that I think we need his game. Smart player and defensively responsible. If Hansen can make the second line by basically losing every puck battle he is in I'm sure Horvat can handle the third or fourth line...

Sooner or later we have to take some risk with the youth. Look at Gallagher/Galchenyuk...given every opportunity to succeed and they did. Jensen as welll needs a better look too. I understand AHL conditioning as per Detroit's success but there has to be some risk...

I agree his offense will be a tad limited but it's his WHOLE game we need. And soon.
