Like Nucker mentioned Canucks have been exceeding expectations so far this year, nice to see. Usually most teams disappoint.
I still do feel Kesler and LU were huge problems for team bonding and play on the ice. Both very over rated IMO
I know a few of us were calling for trades for years with those two. We are now playing as four lines and not individuals. |

I agree, mostly about Kesler. I just think he did more damage than good, a guy like Bonino maybe isn't as fast, big or good in the circle. But he doesn't stifle his teammates when he is on the ice, and has some creativity with the puck.
This team could use a legitimate top 6 guy, preferably a C who can win faceoffs. And the D isn't the deepest, but if the players we do have play to their potential, the top 4 is very solid. Sbisa has played much better the last few games.
This team won't do any damage in the playoffs, but should make it! |

Some good positivity going on here for the Canucks but I'll withhold judgement until we play some genuine contenders. I'm not pessimistic, just conscious of the fact that more than half our wins thus far have been (more than likely) against lottery teams. |

Do you remember how long we were both calling for a Kesler trade? |

Sbisa is heading in the right direction for sure. Hope he can continue the trend |

Sbisa is hopefully gaining confidence . Still very early but they seem to be building confidence also. All 4 lines contributing. WD is using what he has very efficiently . |

How can you say that, he hasn't played a game. Yeah he does bring a different game the game of a rookie who hasn't seen 1 second of regular season play.
Edit: he can learn something in junior, patience - A_SteamingLombardi
Don't see it. He isn't going to learn any more back in junior at this point. Needs to up his game and play with higher level talent plus the team needs what he brings. If he is a dud after the nine games then hey what can you do but with injuries coming and such I have a feeling he may stick around. Again the AHL ain't his focus so no shock at all there. |

I was in Van for the 2012 playoffs...Kesler for sure should have been gone after that. |

Gillis's biggest fault over valuing players and waiting too long. Oh yeah and NMC / NTC |

Hey bubba. So what now? re-tool is over, the cunucks are doing well and going after the cup? I'm asking you cuz I don't give 2 poops what these other bi-polar , wishy-washy Women have to say, they change their minds about the teams direction with every period. |

I think this year if he can win FOs , play shut down , and chip in every so often he should stay. Give him his 9 game try out. |

We're all in agreement still. If the playoffs are far from a lock at the TDL(meaning we're in like a 4/5 team race for 7th/8th) then we want them to sell. |

Disagree there. He's trying to enter the NHL for the first time and his current stint in the AHL is the best way to make his case. If he's not well aware of that fact, his entourage of peeps would no doubt make it abundantly clear. |

I still think if the team is just making the playoffs and out in 4-5 games I would rather get a higher draft pick. Way to early to say how are we doing . Ask me mid January |

If we played the Oilers more regularly I think we'd have a real shot. |

What a professional. I would tell him that it better become his focus right (frank)ing quick or he can go to the ECHL. |

Now now, it's only fair that all the other Pacific division teams get an equal number of tune up games against the Oilers so they can get their back up goalies in, work on the PowerPlay, have a look at a youngster, etc. |

Well that does make a lot of sense, waiting till January before mapping out the finish. The rest of you parade planners take notes, thats why I asked VanmotherphuckenTel and not the rest of you Donks. |

Oilers had a tough start. I think they make a decent trade soon.I still like Hall Draistl Nurse Perron and Eberle. Perron will come around and start scoring soon. |
