I am, actually. At the start of the season I would have guessed like 3 out of 4 against Alberta. Maybe even 2-2 would not have been surprising. And 1 or maybe 2 wins against the WSH/MTL/STL trio.

Willie Desjardins is getting the most he can out of this roster right now, that's impressive even with the "new coach honeymoon" factor.

2) Did Eberle say "Pop the cherry" during intermission. Isn't it kind of tasteless to discuss his relationship with Hall while in the middle of a game?

We had a promising start last year. I will say though, the team we played tonight was much better than the Oiler team we played earlier in the season. I was impressed with the improvements they made in their own end. Gave us a good game even with Hall sitting out for most of it

We were like 5 games over .500 after October(played way more games I think). I don't know though, watching that team last year I felt like they struggled to even generate scoring chances, let alone goals even during wins.

I'm not calling this is a playoff team, but I feel like they can beat any team on any given night again(without the other team just poopting the bed).

I think we will have to wait and see a little bit longer, but with Horvat and Burrows both coming back soon I have to think he will be back in the press box before long and will request a trade if he doesn't see the ice on a regular basis
