It was not a dirty hit. It was late I agree. Burrows could have changed direction but he did not accelerate, elevate or raise the elbow. The principle point of contact was the shoulder. I agree the play should have been called dead and goal disallowed. The reffing last night was typical NHL caliber...Coin toss at best.

I think Burrows will get at least a couple of games. I hope it is 5 games (shellfish reasons) I really want to see some lineup changes that I believe would have been harder otherwise.

I want to see Vey with Bonino and Kassian.

Doesett Mathias Hansen leaving Sestito where he belongs. It will be a nice stretch to see Bo go up against some really good centers in the upcoming road trip.

Worst thing about "Burrows-gate" is that it will make it harder to deal him to the Habs

The Habs are such a bunch of wussys! Emelin deserved 2 minutes for diving. Gallagher gets away with so much goalie interference. Someone will take care of him soon. I wish Billy Smith was still playing. And Subban got away with murder on the twins. He should have had at least 2 interference penalties.

I don't think you demote Higgins off that line he has arguably been one of our best players. While he is hot keep him there. Don't take away chemistry between him and Bonino.

Meh. I hope Benning takes advantage of the cap issues with Kings and pitches Higgins or Hansen for Stoll or Williams. Kings are in cap hell right now. Voynov suspended but with pay means cap of 4 mil counts. Kings are over the cap and desperately need some relief. Stoll as our 3LC would look awesome. Or get Williams to play 2nd line wing.

I wasn't defending Burrows per-say. I saw it as a hit to the head and should warrant some discipline. However its not cut and dry. I can't crucify a guy with out looking at all scenarios and circumstances surrounding the incident.
