And got Benning/Willie + Virtanen

#TankNation won in my books

Agreed. But it was painful to watch.

The one last year was awesome. #TankNation versus the "win for pride" peeps. We had some casualties(Fosco, etc.).

The great HB blog war of 2013/14

- Nucker101

Some like myself came out of that war not quite the same(PtSD). I am still on the Zolof...and weed...and booze.. hell I am basket case.

Did we see a flash of brilliance like that from those two even once last year?
- vancity787

Not that I can remember? Confidence is such a huge thing for any player.

Watching the standings was exciting though, but we failed to catch CAL and NYI

Didn't we pass Calgary in the last game of the season? Pass meaning lower in standings.

I don't think we did, or we'd have Sam Bennett

I usually like his commentary just not when it comes to the Canucks he has issues with us. He was right about the Galcheniuk goal though KB3 did cross check Gallagher onto Miller. Good goal. P!ssed me off but he was right about that one.
- thundachunk

If you look closer you see Bieksa cross him one way but Gallagher goes another into the GT and gives a bit of a downward push. If Bieksa crossed harder, Gallagher would have been pushed away from Miller.

How certain are we that it isn't just Ron Hextall himself? Cause it sure looked like that

This Nucks team has the same feel as a few years ago ...good enough to beat the teams they should but not good enough to legit contend...but they have youth coming now ...I like the transformation ....no tanking(oilers) allowed

We're in 5th in the league! That's incredible. If we had been playing good teams, probably in worse shape; but perhaps the easy earlier schedule is helping the team adjust to the changes, so they will be ready when it gets tougher in the middle stretch.

Either way, winning is sweet!

That was a nice goal and an enjoyable game.

So far first line is doing what they are suppose to be doing and second line providing secondary scoring. It's nice to see.

Lefty plan a lot of time away from home. Wives that have to exercise and can not be rewarded with booze become pure hell. Run man. Next thing you know she will want you to become that person too.

The thing I liked about the OT winner was it was a quick transition from a turnover, and scored on the rush instead of the cycle. Beat a "fast" team at their own game.

Being able to adjust to the opposing teams speed is huge. Good stuff by the players playing the WD system and good job Willie for making such a big improvement.

Miller well he has been good. Credit where its due. This is great not having to see the LUongo belly flop.[/URL]

Still a crosscheck goalie or no goalie in the vicinity.
