It's one thing to hear media say team will be evaluated on a stretch of games, but to hear it from the GM... big 2 weeks upcoming. #Canucks

Benning says Horvat will be back with the #Canucks on Sunday.

Let's hope he accomplishes more here than he did in Utica.

#Canucks haven't beaten Habs on home ice since Oct 2009 when they won 7-1, but lost Daniel Sedin for 6 weeks with a broken foot

Anyone else worried about the Habs tonight? We have not shown well against fast teams.

He's got 9 games here, we'll see. I'm not a big fan of rushing any of the young guns just for the sake of change.

It takes more than 9 games to establish yourself as a 19 yr old in the league. If he's deemed good enough to play he should stay and be good in the role they put him in.

Just looking at points is a poor way to judge him as a third line center. If he scored ten goals and had fifteen assists I'd be happy…as long as he was good defensively and good on the dot.

Basically, if he can win draws it will be hard to keep him out of the lineup. He doesn't need to kill it offensively, the Canucks are lighting the lamp way more then I expected so far, but we are Buffalo bad on draws.

Agreed that 9 games is not enough to determine, although it should give a decent indication. I also agree with Cuban, that if he does well in the face off circle it will be difficult to send him back to junior. Like I said earlier, I'm not a fan of injecting youth into the line up just for the sake of change.

is EK a leafs fan?

Maple Leafs interest in Antoine Vermette and Keith Yandle. A package could be worked out but the Coyotes would like Kadri back for both players and a pick. (e3)

Morning gents. I was bored last night so I did some figuring. I wanted to see how the last two seasons condensed schedules effected the team (rest wise)

2010/11 82 games played in 182 days - a game every 2.22 days
2012/13 48 games in 98 days - a game every 2.04 days
2013/14 82 games in 169 days - a game every 2.06 days

2.22 less 2.05 (average last 2 years) = .17 X 82 games = 13.94 days

14 more days rest for an older team is a big deal, especially with the travel schedule.

Please, dear baby Jesus, let the Canucks beat the Habs as we have the most obnoxious Habs fan in the shop next to us and I don't need to be facing criminal assault charges.
Oh ya, thank you for deposing of that angry bag of poo former head coach. Much appreciated.

Edit: that is seriously disgusting... I would be hesitant to trade Vermette and a pick for him, let alone adding YANDLE. He is not even worth Yandle straight up.

I've been to Canucks v Habs way back in the day at Pacific Coliseum, a great environment of fans trying to out cheer each other. Stupid Habs fans
