Guess I just don't buy it unless I hear it from the primary source or I hear it from either the P-G or the Canadian national media, like Dreger or Mac or Friedman.

The "rumor" business is just too lucrative to trust at this point.

I think if Martin would wave to go to Edmonton a trade with them will have already happened.

I'd like to see a trade with Edmonton personally, I think we each have what the other needs. Sutter + dman prospect. I would go for Yakupov, I watch a lot of Edmonton games and Yak is always putting in the effort. Perron is nice, but the ceiling for Yak is very high, especially when he can learn next to Sid and Geno. Yak plays with that high tempo that Sid plays with and I'd like more of it.

If we're trading with LA, isn't Mike Richards playing 4th line? I'd target him, same salary as Martin.

The nickname value is the most important of the fancy stats. It determines a players worth in the minds of the fans which is more vital then any other stat. Especially if that players nickname is Yak.

He's typically a good read analytically, but he doesn't live in Pittsburgh and I assume he doesn't have a press pass, which makes me doubt that he has inside information other than the usual hearsay.

His tweets sounded like connecting the dots, not reporting on something tangible from a stakeholder.

That doesn't mean we should jettison him for less than he is worth. Richards for 6 years straight up for Paul Martin for 6 months?

Start thinking three team trades. To get around Martins no trade clause. Martin to LA, LA sends William back to Carolina, Carolina Sends Tlusty back to PIT, or similar scenario for Perron. Pens could send a D man prospect and the deadline for some veteran help at deadline with this extra cap space. I like him from Carloina, or Frolik, McGinn Yak has been a much improved player so far this season defensively and decision making but still needs allot of work.

They are treating him like crap and he is obviously on the outs with the organization. I keep my fingers on the pulse of the relationship. Once you feel it begin turn truly sour, make your offer. I'm hoping he falls out of favor fast in the organization and we can walk into a Nino-Clutterbuck type deal

That was pretty self explanatory...

Most don't try to make a big trade right away, they look around, evaluate, and crunch numbers.

A team may have a defenseman injured for a season and want Martin for a cup run. Or to try and make the playoffs.

ehrhoff was rumored to want to sign an extension here as soon as legally possible.

Martin is here for now, so enjoy it.

You should look around and research my comments before you chime in. I read something and wanted opinions on that deal nothing else. I've stated several times I'd prefer to keep Martin at this point. If you answer a question with a question you're a douche.

Yeah, we have two justice system's these days. Voynov will get "rich man's" justice. He'll be back in time for the playoffs. He'll attend classes, get probation and pay court fee's.
