Us Pens fans need to keep an eye on teams that might shake things up soon with their rosters; like Jets, Carolina and maybe san jose. Those are the teams that might want to unload or dump players. |

One of Forbort, Gravel, Bodnarchuk, or Ebert will be called up to take Voynov's spot. - Only_A_Ladd
And with only 2 games this week, it might be a short stay for a Manch hand. You figure Muzzin should be back within another 10 days or so and McNabb will just stay in the lineup if Slava is out for an extended amount of time. Not worried. |

No thank you on ROR - cap1681
I really like ROR, plus he's only 23. When watching the avs I was always impressed with him and duchene the most |

I understand the Jets and Carolina, but the Sharks are 4-1-1.
Frolik from the Jets
Tlusty from the Canes
I'd be fine with either one. |

The only way i would consider trading for ROR is if the Penguins decide that Malkin is going to switch to the wing permanently. |

Both UFAs too, they might be wanting to hit the market to cash in so could be moved in fear of letting them walk for nothing |

What if it's announced that Voynov is suspended for the season(long shot, but you never know with all the media attention surrounding domestic violence). You wouldn't consider trading Williams for a top pairing defenseman who logs 25+minutes a night? Seems like it would be a pretty good hockey trade. - cap1681
I don't think it has as much to do with the return as it has to do with Williams. He's a sacred cow. Lombardi won't blow up his salary cap system to re-sign him in the off-season considering he has a few guys who are going to need raises soon. Specifically, Kopitar is going to get Toews/Kane money. But that's about the only scenario where I see Williams leaving: a big demand for money in the off-season if an extension can't be worked out right now.
More realistically, I see Muzzin or Doughty being broken up to fill Voynov's spot. There will be a scramble in the short term as Muzzin isn't fit yet, and that's where the kids come in.
No doubt, of course, that losing Voynov for the entire season will create some deep problems. |

ROR only goes for a Dman who is about to enter the prime of their career, the Top 4 25 year old range. NO way the move him for anything less as he is of the same value. You will get 8-10 years of prime production out of him before he starts hitting that age of decline. - DDM-Coga
Yea, just thought I'd bring him up. I do like mcginn though and would love to see him with the pens |

Exactly. 2 young guys who have potential. Could be had, and hopefully playing on a team that will be in the thick of it come playoff time year after year will be a good selling point to stay. I've always thought Tlusty would be a perfect fit on Malkin's wing, and could put up great numbers. |

UFA's looking to cash in are usually available. I think Tlusty will be much easy to get than Frolik. I'm not sure the Jets are letting him walk. They would be willing to overpay him at this point rather than let him walk.
The problem is, what is Tlusty's value and how do we clear the cap space? |

The pens really could make 2 big moves if they wanted to. Let's say a Williams/Martin deal happens. Well the pens still have a log jam of defenseman. If they really wanted to, they could package their 1st round pick with a guy like dumoulin to a struggling team for a good player. |

That's exactly why I like him. If sid or malkin went down, you move ROR to the center and you have immediate help. I know it's a pipe dream, but just one of those long term wingers id like to be on the pens |

Hes goign to be at least a 7m guy with his new contract, I hope they pony up for him.
If they do move him, I think going to Sabres and getting a combo of Myers and Grigorenko out of them somehow would be ideal. |
