I know everyone likes to crap on Eakins and our crappy captain, but where is Hall, Schultz, Perron and even Yak in a game like last nights? We need guys other than our plugs to step up against team's like LA.

The result wasn't surprising given who we were sitting, but this team needs its star s to rise to the occasion.

If Eakins is fired, I think we want an experienced coach. If we have a similar first 20 games to last year and Eakins is fired i'd have no problem with MacT coaching partly to see whom the problem players are.

I have to think the plan is for Ramsay to take control if Eakins fails. But even with a new coach it still doesn't make up for the lack of good NHL d-men.

Ramsay is already working with the d core, if he is head coach how is that going to change much?

Because he's more than likely to demand a trade out if we are drafting in the top 3 again.

I'm just joking. I want this team to win so badly. I don't watch every game hoping to see us get our asses handed to us. It just happens. We've been a very poorly run franchise for a long time. It sucks but that's just the way it is. I have quite a few friends that won't even watch the team play anymore

Edmonton was without two-thirds of their top line and their top d-man against the Kings. What else were you guys expecting? I don't see how tonight should suddenly be a tipping point. Though the loss of Petry was all on Eakins....

Understatement- they are the SC champs for a reason- if fact I would say they are stronger than ever before...

I really don't think we are that bad of a team. We just need to make that one bold move to bring in a Pronger. Now someone that good is probably not out there, but there are guys to be had. Just have to have the balls like Kevin Lowe.

People bash Lowe, but he had the balls to move an Olympian, Lynch who was a big offensive tough d-man and then Woywitka who was thought to be a future top d-man and major piece of the Comrie deal.

this team is horrendous and I REALLY hope they don't win the McDavid sweepstakes. I would hate to see another ultra talented young kids career to be ruined being exposed to this mess of a team

If this year keeps heading down the path it looks like it's heading down ( mcdavid, eichel) I say we keep it Eakins till the end of the season and go after Babcock. Let's face it firing Eakins 15 games in with only a couple wins ain't getting us to the playoffs. Fire him by the 7-8 game mark or let him continue on with his ship sinking abilities .

I'd move Yakupov to MTL for Eller and maybe another piece.

But the team D is just awful. I want to see Edm do well, but I kind of get a kick out of the losing too.

The Kings were without their 1st line d-man, a pivotal first liner, and a solid 4th liner.

It's not as if LA was completely healthy either.
