Losing Stastny is going to be their downfall.

He may not be the greatest center in the league, but he gave the Avs a lot of depth at forward, especially going up against some of those West teams with deep depth down the middle / really solid top 2 lines.

The good news with Pronger working at the Player Safety Department, is he's the best guy to spot a dirty little (frank) since he's been a dirty little (frank) for all his career.

They hired Pronger to handle discipline... instead of suspensions, he will be asked to stomp on offender's ankles with a skate blade...

They replaced Stastny with Briere and Parenteau with Iginla.

i didn't see Subban as being brutal. yes he made the mistake that led to the first goal. he made a soft play at the end of a long shift. but in case you didn't notice, the team was nearly run out of the rink in the first. shots were 15-2 and Corsi was 23-9. but after that it was a completely different story and Montreal had Washington hanging on for dear life at the end. and Subban was a big part of that.

everyone is saying Montreal was so lucky to escape with a win. they were lucky to escape the first period down 1-0 but that happens sometimes when a team dominates a period. can't say a team is lucky when they were clearly the better team for 40 minutes.

Once he settles down, and realize Markov is not there to cover his ass, he will be fine.
