So it didn't start when you picked Gagner 6th, Eberle 22nd, Paajarvi 10th, Hall 1st, RNH 1st, Yakapov 1st, Nurse 4th but with Draisaitl 3rd overall.

You can't just begin the rebuild again every year, make up your mind.

#Flames lines versus #Canucks :
Glencross-Colborne-Hudler;
Raymond-Backlund-Bouma;
Gaudreau-Byron-Jones;
Bollig-Stajan-McGrattan

Holy McDavid that is quite a lineup.

Regular caller on 1040 predicting a Vancouver cup win this year
- bezz44

Aquillini likes to drop in these random callers from time to time to boost morale. It is also drives up the insanity quotient of this city, which translates to continuously inflating real estate prices. Again, a win for the Aquillini group.

Colbourne has really been trending up, can you imagine only a year ago he was a leaf reject and now a #1 center in this league.

Yea, I don't get it. Guy was a standout last year while he was healthy. All I can picture is Gillis on his hands and knees digging through the heap of manure that is the waiver wire looking for gold nuggets and against all odds pulled out Ryan Stanton. Also don't know how losing Corrado to injury is detrimental. At this point Weber is a better option
- bezz44

I wasn't overly impressed with Stanton last year. He was a capable number 6, but he didn't excel at anything. Putting in him for Bieksa is a bad deal.

As for Weber, the guy makes me nervous. If he can produce points, I'm happy to have him, but without that, he's not much of a player.

I like Corrado. I like his compete level and he's got potential to be an impact player. I'd like to see him improve in the bigs. He's pretty much the youth movement at this point.

Stanton is flat out better than Corrado right now. He's pretty much an ideal 3rd pairing d-man. Solid defensively, physical enough, can make a solid first pass and will stick up for a teammate.

My point is that I expect Corrado to get better. I only hope for that from Stanton. But yes, he's probably the better play as of today.

Stanton is a little safer/steadier than Corrado at this point but not as offensive. But can't wait for Corrado to become a regular.

I like Corrado, I just don't think he's ready yet. I know I wanted him on the team last year but he didn't exactly dominate on that Comets team and he looked shaky in the preseason

Ahh, well that's where we differ. I'd be quite happy if Corrado played like Stanton did last year at this point.

After over 5 months of whining we get hockey again.

We replaced
Prez
GM
Coach
Goalie that didn't want to be here
Centre that didn't want to be here
D-Man that did want to be here

It this team still sucks how do we replace the owner?

I guess sucking would depend on what your expectations for this years team are. Are you expecting a division leader and the team to be in the running for the presidents trophy? or are you expecting the team to finish 3rd to 6th in the pacific division and squeak into the playoffs?

I'm more thinking about the entertainment level of the on ice product. Dump and chase, blocking shots and collapsing defenses isn't very entertaining.
