The AV/Gillis/Torts era was exhausting as (frank)... My "give a sh!t" level still isn't where it used to be, but I'm glad hockey's back. - DrChristianTroy
Well, good to see you back and looking forward to your non-pillow-biting hard-hitting analysis as the season goes by |

Was Ryan Miller just trying to sell seasons tickets in that post game interview?
I guess the players got sent a memo |

I guess there is a clause in his contract that requires him to shamelessly promote season tickets every interview |

That was weird but I imagine players in non-traditional hockey markets push it a lot harder. |

Calgary looked disinterested in the first 2 and only scored because the Canucks had two amazing brain cramps.
Sure the Flames looked good for about seven minutes of the third but could they complete two passes in a row? Was it the Flames not connecting or the Canucks playing good D, I am not sure.

Fair enough, but I don't think he could have been any more awkward about it. |

Vrbatta... nice fit for the Sedins. Burrows and Kassian scoring right away... Richardson coming up big in the final face off... Stanton looking good....
Many had written off Mathias. I think DJ likes what he's seen through the preseason and tonight. Horvat pushing Mathias I think... but he really never had much of a chance to stand out last season.
I hope Kassian works his way onto the 2nd line soon. |

I thought there were long stretches where we did not see Kassian. Maybe I am wrong.... I do not have the Golden Rogers Ref Cam.
ALTHOUGH... that ref cam is cool.

I think the Flames are one of the worst teams in the league so I'm not taking away much from tonight. But the win still counts for 2 and it's nice to see some of the boys getting straight onto it and on the scoresheet. |

Exactly, I'm sure a goal feels better than a broken foot for Burrows. |

So we just beat a front runner for McDavid, semi-convincingly. I'm interested to see what that does to the crazy negativity that's been on these boards since Shink and Jensen were sent down. The only thing that I'm sure of is Vantel complaining about Daniel shooting instead of dekeing on his breakaway. |

Marketing has probably instructed them to wait until HNIC for that one. |
