It is Bennington first year and Gillis did tie his hands . He has done a lot , but maybe didn't realize how much needed to be done. Torts (sorry Marwood ) was an idiot but he wasn't blind. When he said this was a stale core that needed to be gutted , he was correct.
Do you take the high draft pick or do you mortgage the farm to bring in high end talent with trades? I would keep the high draft picks and be patient. - VANTEL
He didn't say it needed to be gutted, but I think the best approach is to see how things go, sell off pieces in adjustment and as you say, continue to be patient |

In today's NHL you can only move kids when you have strength in numbers at any one position, we are nowhere near that, so I'm with you, be patient. |

I don't think you can sell off some of the core. Who at this point is going to take Burrows Contract? |

You can still eat stale bread. Throw that poop in the toaster and make urself a gourmet lunch. All you need are a few fresh ingredients
Zogg is going to love this, another food analogy |

You work with what you can. Pull a couple of Kes/Garrison style trades if possible. If not, we will have to pursue other options. Buyout maybe (non compliance obviously) or just wait for contracts to expire without renewing them/leveraging deals for substantially reduced roles |

Except they made the mistake of using tree leaves rather than spinach/lettuce leaves. Also way too much trans fat in that sammich (Kessel) and the meat they used is rancid (Phaneuf) |

Keep in mind next years draft is extremely deep, picks in the 6-10 range will still be great picks. |

With the Sedin's never getting traded there's not much after that to speed up the process? Hamhuis and Bieksa perhaps? - LeftCoaster
