Did you get this from the Sens threads? "Playoff team! Addition by subtraction!"

I haven't backpedaled at all. Unlike you, ignoring the other claims from Sens fans.

I'm going to have to agree with my fellow Sens fan, for now.............................. that is until July first, when the Philadelphia Flyers hold a press conference and unveil the signing of UFA Bobby Ryan to a multiyear contract that he was unable to get in Ottawa, or even wanted, as his biggest wish was to return to his home town team where he grew up...........then I'll totally support your POV

He probably would have gone to Philly had the Sens not offered him way too much money and term, giving him one of those albatross contracts you love to refer to.

Congrats, you've just gotten yourself an untradeable albatross contract.

here are some memorable insights, from the 2011 12 season, when the Sens made the playoffs

It will take a monumental disaster for any team in the NE to finish behind the Sens. They're worse at every position than every other team.
- prock

Murray has left every team he's taken over in a worse position than he's started. Burke has made every team better. Who would you prefer?
- prock

You've got to be kidding me. The Sens offense sucks. They have one line, and then a bunch of plugs. You want to talk about scoring drying up? Spezza is scoring not only WAY above what he's done for the past 3 years, but above his career average, which includes the years him, Alfie, and Heatley racked up ridiculous point totals. Michalek is scoring MILES above what you can reasonably expect from him. Alfie is going on 39. Colin Greening is scoring at a higher pace than he did in the AHL. Gonchar, 37, suddenly playing like he's in his prime again. Not a chance in hell Karlsson keeps scoring like has been.

And you think the LEAFS scoring will dry up?

The Sens scoring is more likely to dry up, and probably drop off more significantly than the Leafs..... And then, you're left with a team that is giving up the most goals in the NHL. By a wide margin.

Ottawa is going to be a basement team this year. It's pretty much a sure thing.

And even if it does.... With Reimer in net, the goals against is pretty consistent with what it was last year, to start the season. With him back in net, the Leafs will be able to compensate for a bit of a drop in goal scoring.

Besides, as much as the Leafs have some guys scoring in bunches right now, there are others that haven't completely gotten going yet.

They may not stay where they are. I fully expect them to slip a bit. But not to the basement. Where I expect the Sens to slip to.

- prock

Not mad at all. I know one team from the province will probably be mathematically eliminated before the allstar break. Why you changing the subject?

You say the Leafs aren't as good as I think? Maybe. I don't think the Sens are as good as you think, if you think they're in the same tier as the Leafs. The Sens are in the same tier as the Marlies. Good for an AHL team. Absolute horsecrap, terrible, junk, for an NHL team.

It depends what you think of as elite. Borderline top 5 now, as he seems to be FINALLY stringing two decent seasons in a row together.
- prock

He is either the best or second best this year and top 5 last year. Hr is easily elite

Again, depends on what you refer to as elite. Pesonally, I use a pretty strict definition. there are only 30 starting goalies, so I'd say top 3 to 5. My top 3 are Lundqvist, Rask, Rinne. Price would be a little behind that group with a few other goalies.

Really because the last two years Price has better numbers each year than Rinne and Lundqvist and right there with Rask. To say he is not elite is foolish

[quote=prock]Why so angry? He can't take a hit. You know it's true, and that's why it bothers you so much.

Because he broke vertebra in his neck and the statements you made make you a lower order of creature than a mere troll.

But, at least you justify my only making occasional visits to the forum.

As long as you who and what he is, just ignore him..........don't feed the troll.

read this and forget his "expert" analysis

Here is NHL.com's list of the top 14 goaltenders in the NHL:

3. Carey Price, Montreal Canadiens, 49 points
2013-14: 34-20-5, 2.32 GAA, .927 save percentage

Price is coming off his best season, having established career marks in goals-against average and save percentage. He also put up a performance for the ages at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, allowing three goals on 106 shots in five games to lead Canada to the gold medal, and backstopped the Canadiens to the Eastern Conference Final. Price turned 27 on Aug. 16, and every indication would suggest he is entering the prime of his career.

It wasn't what he said, rather that anyone would even think that was an appropriate thing to say. Anonymity "embiggins" the lesser creatures, but erodes society as a whole.

True power forward?

He can't take a hit. One little nudge and he lies motionless on the ice with habs fans calling the cops, only to "win his life back" the next day. He's soft as butter.

- prock

You have abviously not watched him this year. He is actually driving hard to the net.

As for the second part, it's your shtick, I know this now. At one point you aggravated the hell out of me, but now I thoroughly enjoy your posts and have a good laugh. No one can be such a simpleton to post the stuff you do, and I know you aren't. I get that you seriously enjoy getting under people's skin.

You should seriously take 3 minutes of your time and watch this:

he was on pace to set career highs in goals and pts until about a month ago............and then he started "leafing" all over the place (along with the rest of his team)

ryan's season has gone the complete opposite....he started out exceptionally slow, and has come on very strong in the last couple of month.

at the end of the day, kessel is the better pure offensive player.........and is paid as such. that being said, i think ryan is the better "overall" player, and he fits in perfectly with the team he's currently on.

both guys are paid right around where they should be..........which is exceptionally high, but right about on par when you look at comparables.
