how can Klefbom and Marincin currently be on the same level in some minds? Marincin was playing top lines (again, most common opponents Getzlaf, Perry, D Sedin) and performing better than the rest of the club for over half a season. Klefbom played 17 games against softer competition and was at about the average team level.
If you're basing anything off of 6 pre season games then don't even bother responding - TheNugeIsHuge
MacT and Eakins base their call on those 6 pre season games tho |

Maybe we should actually wait until they play in the NHL this year. Some seem to just discount Klefs injuries and are talking marincin's 44 games way too far.

If hes better, i ABSOLUTELY think that he will play more... you clearly know notihng if you think big hard hitting Dmen are still important in todays game. Please ask yourself this. Who is harder to play against. Erik Karllson or kevin Bieksa. Now if you dont like that one. How about this. Who would you rather match up against as a forward. Lindstrom or darrien hatcher.
If you like playing in your own d zone, then im guessing youll choose karllson, lindstrom and marincin.
You are brilliant - JShack
Difference is when Karlsson's on the puck is mostly in the offensive end because he's great with the puck. He may not be great defensively, but he makes up for it by keeping the puck in the offensive end 55% of the time |

I was going to laugh, but didn't want to pump his tires too much. - Lahey
 OK there Timmy Thomas.
But I was serious I do think he will be there past game nine and I'm almost sure CrabMan will be. If he plays well and they send either down it will be a worse presser for MacT and Co. Than yesterday IBO. |

Sure, wait til they play. If we're hoping to god that two Dmen with 17 games experience can hold the fort potentially paired with defensive liability Justin Schultz then the odds are our prayers won't be met. Play your best players. |

I like klefbom and I believe He will be as good as MM or better but right now MM is got that extra level of play with his 47 NHL games played, yes MacT and Eakins know better I just hope this call don't blow in their face when the season gets going because it will actually make them look dumb. |

You need to go back and start re-reading. You are going to steinley levels.
Somehow Marincin and Klefbom = Weber and Karlsson. You really are a new level on here - Lahey
Ok man. whoever steinley is. You're wrong and a complete waste of time, especially after the fact you read the article and still think that the choice between Klef and Marty was a coin toss. From now on, ill call you Mr. Carlyle. |

He'll be back in no time, don't worry. The real mistake was keeping Draisaitl IMO - TheJerseyDevil1

Actually it is when you are talking about guys that are only going to play 16-18minutes. - Lahey
MM was playing 19 minutes well against top level comp and Klefbom on par with the terrible team for <16 minutes a night against soft comp. MM is arguably the best left shot D on the team. Arguably as in there isn't much to argue against it |

I just don't see how EDM can preach a hot start and doing well out the gate, but start 2 rookie Dmen and demote their best LHD. Doesn't matter if he's back after they realize their mistake, it's concerning for the people that run the team to think like this. |

Ah so we are back to overrating young players.
How can people still bank on players with little to no actual experience to be game changers? Nothing has been learned the pass 6 years?
Gagner-Cogs-Nilsson are such a good #1 line eh? |

It appears so. On the bright side, Mr.Petry who really is the make it or break it for this team is going unnoticed. |

is not one player but taking a player out from your roster that was the exception of a horrible D last year that played long minutes is a mistake, but again I hope it works out. |

Are you reading over what you're posting?
You're against overrating young players but you're perfectly fine w/ Nurse/Klefbom in a guaranteed top 4 role over someone who succeeded in one!
Yes. I probably would've rather Gagner-Cogs-Nilsson as the top line than handing the 1C spot to Schremp |
