The best is the bullpoop 'murkins spew when you bring up that Canada did that.
Oh, and how they always brag about the reason that the Allies won WW1 and WW2. Um, no, Canada was pretty much the main reason. You guys just "finished" it because you destroyed Japan. - ChetManly
How were we the main reason? |

Let's not even get onto the issue of safety and well being. It's bad when there is such terrible crime. I've been to NOLA a couple of times and dude, i have never felt safe down there. Meanwhile, even in the "bad areas" in many of the major cities in Canada, I have no problem being in them. Mind you, i have never been through Toronto's ghetto, or onto a reservation, but I've walked through many places drunk out of my mind, in the middle of the night and never had an issue. I would never do that in America. No matter what.
Hey, I like you man. You know your poop
edit: fat people don't count as regular people as they are so (frank)ing demented and firmly believe they are perfectly healthy. I have no patience for them and they actually are rather gross to be around in my opinion. I know many of them are very nice people, and I always get along with them, but I just can't stand their majority. (tried to work a pun with mass, just couldn't get it to work). If you haven't yet, check out reddit.com/r/fatpeoplestories . And read the top posts. You'll get a kick out of it. - ChetManly
Yeah, I generally get along with everyone, even when I have to force it with most southerners. The worst I ever had was someone once complained that Obama is the reason high efficiency washing machines exist, because its a ploy to control the water and force them to be energy compliant.
Most of America, I'm not afraid to be around, but I'm a bigger dude compared to most (6'3", 210 lbs when I'm not working out, 240 lbs when I am). The ghettos in America AND Canada are pretty bad. I've been through Hamilton, Toronto, London, Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec, to name a few, and have seen just as bad situations as the crappier parts of Chicago, New York, Nashville, Detroit, etc.. America has a worse time with it because of the economic disparity and the HUGE number of poor folks (that also can be partially attributed to the 350+ million population vs. your 30 or so )
And in terms of fat people, they don't bother me so much. My mom's side of the family all have guts, but in that adorable midwestern type of way, don't cha know? After I busted my ankle and knee in hockey, I gained about 100 lbs, was hovering around 330 for about a year before I got myself back on track. People seem to think that they can't become fit, and they base this off of the TV-backed stories of people with serious conditions (thyroid, diabetes, etc) that make it near impossible to lose weight. My little sister is 200 lbs, but she's got a tumor on her thyroid that really messed her up, she's all over the place with weight and that's understandable. But when someone says "I can't lose weight, by the way, what do you want from KFC, I'm going there for lunch." I want to punch them. |

This is where we'll slightly disagree. America was a large part of World War 1 and 2 and the finishing of both wars in such a clean manner. Canada had a huge part in both, but it was Russia that really (frank)ed over Hitler enough for the Allies (EVERYONE INCLUDING THE FORMER COLONIES) to finish up on the western front. |

That'd be Vanier
I used to live in an area that wasn't the greatest (Ottawa's military base) which is near the "rough side of Ottawa) and I doubt it is as bad as most cities.
Also Ottawa only has four homicides... this year. I'm pretty sure Detroit, Chicago and Bronx get more in a day. |

Yes, my bad, I should have expanded. It's those that claim that America single-handedly won the wars. All countries did their parts, some more than others (larger military's due to larger populations).
The thing I learned about WWII was, don't (frank) with Russia. |

I've heard about Vanier. It's the "bad" area, but it's just a place where, if you are looking for trouble, you'll have no problem. But if you are passing through and mind yourself, there shouldn't be any problems. |

Yeah. Two things that really helped the war effort from both Russia and America was 1) factories and LOTS OF THEM 2) troops and LOTS OF THEM |

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, America has far number of issues in the major cities, but I'd be as afraid to go through the worst slums in Quebec as I would Detroit. At least I know, in Detroit, I can get out of most issues by offering them a job. |

I'm directly talking about those people. It's normal, given our dependance on less-than-healthy-ish food that we have additional weight. Hell, I gained 20lbs from moving and not being able to control my food choices, but i know that if I work out and continue with my healthy eat habits, i'll get the results. It's letting the lazy people have opinions that we have to deal with. I hate that. It's not everyone else's fault that you are lazy and don't want to do poop.

Marty will be back soon enough.
Either individual Corsi is a stat, or some people that you would guess from watching are good puck possession players also happen to miraculously and consistently boost team corsi when they're on the ice. - Morris
Dammit Morris- I thought you either a) won the lotto b) were abducted by a group of big breasted women that demanded sex 4 times a day c) hired by the Oilers or d) dead

The contract process with Petry tells us he's not looking to stay long term, or even two years. He's as good as gone.
Marincin will be re-signed near the end of this season, he's not going anywhere. - BigDre

Exactly. I mean, who doesn't enjoy the occasional double cheeseburger and fries? But people have forgotten how to cook at home, it seems. It might take a little work, but its so much better for you. I made venison meatballs with homemade marinara sauce to go with spaghetti and home made garlic toast. While the calories were probably worse than the number one meal from mcdonalds, I ate a MUCH healthier and better balanced meal and didn't eat a similar sized meal the entire day. Moderation and balance is the key to remaining somewhat healthy and inshape. |

Man, all the fun is in homemade cooking. I just got really (frank)ing hungry now. Good things it's my lunch time! haha
I should come down and visit. You can make me food in exchange for whatever Canadian stuff you need and we can go make fun of lazy and stupid people together and try to drunkenly explain that Obama is not a communist. |

Hell yeah. Both of my parents were master chefs, so growing up was nothing but a Rachel Ray show. And bring me some good BC bud, a TML Stamkos jersey, and some real maple syrup. |

Imagine the first two seasons of Game of Thrones, mix that in with the best Mexican LSD-laced weed, then smear a good helping of the best New York pizza and there you have it.. a night with a ginger from Quebec. |
