The Gardiner Method;

1. Get puck.

2. Hang onto puck too long.

3. Reverse direction and start skating backwards into your own zone.

4. Keep hanging onto puck, run out of options.

5. Dish puck to teammate who is in a worse situation than you are, so that your teammate is the guy who coughs up the puck and the opposition scores.

6. Skate to bench telling yourself it wasn't your fault - your teammate was the guy who coughed up the puck; it's all on him.

7. Repeat.

as for Nylander: he will be a great leaf someday, that day is not this season...why no AHL for him? Because, he will be the leafs #1 pick and get too much attn, leafs go on one 5 game losing streak and it will be "BRING UP NYLANDER TO SAVE THE LEAFS" - also, AHL is much much more tough in terms of guys being goons, in Europe he will still get the same playing time dont kid yourself, but he wont be targeted to get drilled over and over and wont be the savior when we are in a rut.
