Nonis traded for Polak
the new manag. hires would not have made that trade.

everything changes the second Shan hired Dubas.. the 2 years of bad moves by Nonis is over..and if Percy plays better than Polak he should get time over him.

now will randy be able to identify that..who knows...but he will be gone soon

- senstroll

Only a fool would give credit to Dubas for every positive move.

Did Mirtle say trading damaged goods for Polak was a bad move?

MacKinnon is close to a generational player imo.
- Woderwick

Yep and Nylander simply a prospect who may or may not make a NHL team down the road...Big difference..
Imo Far to many Leafs fans have Nylander pegged as a sure bet..Longs ways from it at this point..

So Ek says Dion is on the Ducks radar. I know higlhy unlikely but just for fun, who would we want back from the Ducks? Vatenan
- TonkaPhaneuf

Nobody on the ducks would make our team better.

Dion on the Leafs>>Any Dman on the ducks on the Leafs

An average unhealthy, soft, positional Dman for an average, stay at home, physical Dman?

I get advanced stats side with Gunnarsson, but dear god..

I have absolutely no idea what Polak is going to bring to the Leafs, but I do know it won't be hard to replace what Gunnarson brought.

Hell, I could barely remember his name.

Chances are, he'll be a Leaf next season.

If not a leaf, then in Sweden.

Wedginald?

If you're going to give me a hockey nickname, you really need to stick with the protocol:

First syllable of last name, and then add -zie or -zer.

Wedgzie isn't great, so we should go with Wedger.

- Atomic Wedgie

That "Wagon" skit by Nikki Payne just came to mind.

Wedger...wait, you can't give yourself your own nickname.

Exactly.

He was a soft average Dman. A positional player.

Polak is a tough, physical Dman who plays on the PK and is a perfect partner for someone like Gardiner.

Gunnarsson still hasnt played for the Blues. He's still injured

Another hockey nickname possibility would simply be The Wedge.

I love hockey players, but they really aren't the most creative types.

Know what I mean, Wodser?

I wouldn't throw that term at him just yet. Generational players today.. I can really only say Crosby is it.
- YzermanIsTheMan

I think he's going to rule the roost for quite some time.

I saw a comment in the Star (don't know if it is true or not) that McLaren didn't play in any exhibition games.

Can anyone confirm this?

Good morning, my Leafy friends.

- Atomic Wedgie

I can't confirm whether or not you saw a comment. I am not stalking you. sort of.
