A decision on Viktor Loov will be made by Tuesday at 5. The preferred destination would be the Marlies where he can develop his physicality.

It's usually a better option. The way the Lightning roster is shaping up, Drouin is kinda on the outside looking in, but sending him back to junior is pointless.

What is the consensus in Leaf land? Are they hopeful for a good year?

A lot depends on their possession game. If Leafs allow themselves to get outshot and turnover the puck as readily then it most likely will be like last year. Robidas will help stabilize defence if not hurt and Leafs have added more centres so they shouldn't have as much of an issue there when injuries occur. Team is still low on elite talent due to trades and poor drafting.

The Lightning are going to rock this season and I look forward to seeing them play while in Bradenton for the winter.

glad we have depth on the right side on D .. I hope Blake does some damage this year.. I read somewhere that he might never make it to the NHL, but how cool would it be if the Kessel bros play with the Leafs. We don't have much depth on the right side..I think just Granberg.
