thats about all you can expect from an 18 year old playing in sweden.

he needs time like most high end prospects do.

three things to note: his skating is excellent
his vision is superb
but he needs some strength (not so much size) but just core strength, very much like Kadri when he first came to the NHL.

the good thing is, you cant teach someone vision or skating ability, you can work on skating and try to teach things about the game, but its like phil, you cant teach that shot/release, you either have it , or you dont.

nylander will do well, but in time.

I agree 100% only thing that worries me is that from watching a few Winnipeg games Ehlers has looked much better. I think Nylander may have a higher ceiling but Ehlers definitely looks much more ready at the moment.

meh, i dont look too much into the guys drafted around him.

some will peak early, some wont peak at all, some will take a year or two..

playing on NA ice vs euro ice is one factor to consider, for sure..

I take that as a compliment.. And the truth is I plan on doing something similar in the near future. Not Alaska tho. I'm in alberta earning the cash need for my endeavour. A cabin on a lake in North Ontario is in the works.
