Why not just try to get lucky with a young guy who'll have a hot streak... it's no guarantee a guy like Leighton or Clemmensen have anything left anyway... In my mind, if that's the plan, Joey MacDonald is as viable as that solution.

The way I see it, Budaj had played bad and Toka stepped inand got hot and ket the job until the Habs got eliminated.

Doesn't mean that the Habs brass think that Budaj is not as good as Toka.

they didn't even let Budaj start one game against NY. if they had any confidence in him at all, he would have at least started game 2. i don't think they made the decision to start DT because Budaj got shelled in the third period of a blowout in game 1. i think that stretch in February killed the club's confidence in him.
