Not sure if Sundquvist can play W, but if he can I wouldn't mind the Pens giving him a game or two. Still, wish they would have re-signed Stempniak for $900K per yr. He'd be a great insurance policy to have for the 3rd and 4th line at the moment, especially at that price.
I'd go with:
Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis = Old reliable line; Until the Pens get another Top6F, it is what it is.
Spaling-Malkin-Hornquvist = Really want to see what a guy like Spaling can do with Malkin and Hornquvist; if he keeps it simple (ie, forecheck, go to the front of the net, shoot on net or into the pads for a rebound) i think he could do well.
Downie-Sutter- - s0rcerer1984[Kapenen/Sundquvist] = Lines loses its creative, scoring punch without Bennett, but I'd still like to get Downie and Sutter use to one another. Hopefully, the short-term [Kapenen/Sundquvist] fill-in can hold the fort down.
Comeau-Goc-Megna = Love this as a 4th line. Speed, forechecking, & a simple game for less than $2.8M/yr.
I like the lines for what we have to work with. Just speaks to our depth issues because I think Dupuis is a third liner, spaling is a third or fourth liner, downie is a fourth liner, and kap/sundqvist haven't proven anything yet (although I think kap should be top 6 or in Europe). So lots of guys in places that aren't ideal, IMO. Maybe I'm too "glass half empty" with the forwards.. |

Beau knows injuries. Invite in loktionov and see if he can play wing. Maybe offer up scuderi to the islanders for josh bailey. I really hope he just tweaked something |

Madden was saying on his show this afternoon that his sources are saying it's not as bad as it looks. Let's hope. Figures it had to be a wing going down. |

I'd rather have the worthless player who costs less, so yes I would take that. |

Do you guys think before offering up trade suggestions like this. What would your answer be if someone offered you that.
"Here take this terrible 35 year old defensemen and his cap hit. All I ask in return is for a 24 year old winger. Oh yeah, don't forget that we are division rivals."
Don't get me wrong I am all for getting rid of Scuderi, but c'mon. |

It was just a starting point like any trade there could be NEGOTIATING! ! !!! And the Way that team plays defense and josh Bailey plays for them im sure they might do it strait up division or not. What might u suggest we do wise one |

Grab a sense of reality. This isn't NHL15 where you have to match up trade value on a graph. |

I could careless about bailey it was thinking out loud trades don't happen in this league cause ppl like u over value everyone. Scuds had a bad year after he got hurt who knows he might bounce back. He has 2 cups u don't think he could fetch a player who puts up 20 pts |

I don't understand the thought process with the nine game tryouts for Sundqvist and Kapinen? I thought the nine game tryouts were strictly an agreement with the Canadien juniors and not with the European Leagues. |

So the game today is at 4PM, right?
Looks like Sid and Kunitz are playing this afternoon, that's a good sign.
Malkin still not skating, nor working out.
EDIT Sid is out due to the death of his grandmother. |

Actually I don't influence whether a player is traded at all. |

I still think it works the same way whereas the contract is withheld until they play 9 games. But I could be wrong. |

a realistic trade would be to a team with a bunch of cap space and it would be purely to dump his contract. Scuderi and our 3rd/4th to another team for their 6th/7th. No team wants that contract for a 35 year old 3rd pairing dman. If they did, he would have been gone by now |

I think they will both spend some time in the AHL this year. Being with wbs for a while will help with their transition from Europe to NA hockey, and will get them familiar to the system while further developing into better hockey players. I would much rather have Kapanen here with some nhl call ups rather than in the suiss league |

Wouldn't those NHL call-ups burn a year off his ELC though? I have no idea, just asking. Assuming neither made the NHL roster, I'd prefer Kapanen in WBS on the top line and Sundqvist back in Sweden on the top line (he's the centerpiece of the best team over there). |

They are going to try it. The writing is on the wall. Pairing Scuds with Letang, Johnston going out of his way to say Scuderi looks "very sharp", etc....I think they're going to make him look useful and then aggressively shop him early in the season.
