Perhaps let Petro keep tabs on things and if Virtanen is in fact added, we agree that his rights belong to Petro (and he can add/delete accordingly or use the NA if Virtanen doesn't make the team)

So what if I decide I want to pick someone up midseason who isn't available through Yahoo yet, should I get to do the same, or is this just a one time exception?

Seems as though precedent has already been set. Why bend the rules now?

No matter how many times you complain about it; it still only counts as one "I care vote"

I can understand your point; however, I'm not sure how we can resolve this to make everyone happy, given it's late in the draft, picks have been made or not made. It's like trying to put the geni back in the bottle. In any case, as indicated, I will go with whatever the consensus is, which in turn hopefully allows us to move on and finish this thing before April!

It's all about painting a word-picture; sometimes you use a fine brush, sometimes you use a paintball gun

Wasn't complaining, just making another point as to why people shouldn't feel obligated to bend the rules rather than just say "no!" Too damned Canadian!

Fair enough. But the rule bending didn't start here. We have been flying by the seats of our pants, making the rules up as we go since Friday. From making selections for absentee managers, to allowing guys not to drop people because they will have guys on IR or however many NA spots we will or will not have, to forfeiting picks because we don't want to participate anymore.

If we were all playing by the rules, Nucker wouldnt have to figure out this cluster(frank) of a pool thread that we all are guilty of creating.

I'm just saying we have all let a lot of poop slide...

That's true. No denying that this has been a cluster (frank).

It really fell out of my grasp once this thread become the discussion thread when I had intended it to be for picks only. I even created a thread for comments and mentioned that a few times.

This is true, lack of precedent has necessitated we try and handle a situation as best as possible. I think everyone wants to see all poolies be competitive, and if we were to question every single element of this process, it's going to take much much longer to complete everything, and unlikely make everyone satisfied.

I do understand that there are going to be frustrations like we are currently dealing with, but at the same time I feel we need to be realistic and just do our best to try and find an equitable solution (which is obviously very hard to do, especially since we've had to deal with a number of issues which we simply are/were impossible to anticipate.

I'm really not sure what would be a resolution to this. As has been said, there is no real precedent for these types of scenarios, so at this point I just say we basically toss a coin lol. Seriously, how else are we going to address a situation which originally occured quite a while ago but that we now have to somehow revisit and 'make right'.

P.S. I'm actual serious about the coin-flip concept. Take the people that wanted Virtanen and have Nucker think of a number from 1-10 lol. I know it seems rudimentary but at this point I don't see any other choice. Of course someone else might have a better idea. I just would like to see this thing completed and we are very close to doing so.

Luckily this league is just for bragging rights and nothing to more, eh?

We'll stick to live drafts from here on out.

Well, that sucks hopefully you'll reconsider once the season starts, though.

Hope things are going well with you and your family
