Oh I've been aggressive all right traded all my vets for young talent. Don't get me wrong I'm pleased (assuming I get some of the picks I have tagged) but I have no illusions of being competitive this year

That's definitely the way to go - you were put in a tough position (I had the same thing happen in another dynasty league and took over a team that had to be gutted). Good strategy, though. Plus, you have to remember, it's not all about points, there are some excellent peripheral stat players that will get you other categories.

I missed a draft once and only managed to get two cast off goalies. So I figured, screw it, and dropped both goalies for extra forward and defense, so that I could counter the loss of the goalie stats. It actually worked out well and I almost made it to the finals.

Ok, pardon the babbleage and anecdotal grandpa-esue stories, good grief.
