He's the hockey version of the Phillies' Ruben Amaro Junior. He was handed a good roster with some pretty good prospects, and has made it a laughingstock of the league.

Actually completely false. He was handed next to nothing save for Okposo and Nielsen who haven't performed till last season really while Nielsen has been a great third liner the entire time. Other than that he had zero prospects whatsoever. He has rebuilt our depth in the farm from scratch which is partially why he has been stubborn with making a trade using them as bait.
Believe me I'm no fan of Snow but this post is not accurate in any way at all.

I see Pittsburgh winning this division easily.

Pittsburgh
Columbus
NYR
Washington
Philly
NJ
NYI
Carolina

Pittsburgh. Easy. Crosby and Malkin. D sort of improved. Ehrhoff is a huge signing. Young bucks should contribute. Lack depth at F. It will hurt in the playoffs.

Columbus. Upstart team with loads to prove. If Horton can be healthy for a full season and Hartnell does what he does than this team is destined for the playoffs. Lots of F depth. D is solid. G is good too. Metro is a bit murky after these guys.

NYR. Still a great team. Losing Stepan for maybe 2 games will hurt. Lost some depth at F but acquired a few guys too. Need better seasons from Nash and MSN IF they want to be legitimate contenders. A stacked blue line and the King Henrik in net will propel them into the playoffs. Adding Boyle will improve their PP huge. I see maybe a few moves at the deadline and maybe some damage in the playoffs again. MAYBE!!!

Washington. Don't see them missing the playoffs 2 years in a row. Trotz will infect them with team D. Bolstered D will help. Mike Green may get moved...depends on his play etc. This is a weak division so I think they will make it mostly because of that.

Philly. Always in the picture. Bubble team this year. Losing Timonen hurts. D is in disarray. Streit Coburn Schenn aren't bad but no quality puck movers there except maybe Streit. There's always MacDonald as well but I'm not sold on him just yet. They do have some young D on the way in Sanheim Morin and Gostibehere. It looks better in like 3 years.
F looks solid except for Lecavalier. They will work hard and be pushed to make the playoffs.

NJ. Busy off season but they did not take any D. Loads of F and no one to get them the puck. Henrique Zajac Jagr Elias Brunner Havlat Cammelleri and Ryder and even Clowe are solid F who can score. Good solid F group. Now their D....Do I hear crickets??? Their best D will likely be Larson and Salvador. Spattered with a couple of vets who are past their due date. Goaltending from Schneider as the undisputed #1 will help keep them ahead of the pack...of bottom feeders.

NYI. Similar argument as above. Solid F group and no D. Adding Grabo and Kulemin will help keep Buffalo out of the McDavid sweepstakes. Still see Buffalo getting a top ten pick. Likely 5 to 10 spot. Good year for the Sabres' draft. The D will likely be led by rookies Reinhart and Pulock. Viznovsky does not want to be there and is getting older. Hard for them to compete. Only thing that keeps them behind NJ is NJ has more F and better G.

Carolina. Lost J Staal for ??? Who knows how long. Did not add much over the summer. No D. Same as last year. Cam Ward is still good and so is Khudobin. But no D to help them and it's a bust. Likely why Ward has been injured often. I see a pitch for last overall.
