Saw this post on Bobby Ryan and thought I'd share it here, Re: Would Bobby come back to New Jersey?

Do people know Bobby Ryan's past? His family changed their last name (it's actually Stevenson) and left Collingswood, New Jersey, a suburb of Philadelphia (where his father was friends with Bobby Clarke) for California because his father beat his wife and was about to be prosecuted for attempted murder. His father jumped bail with the family when Bobby was only 10. Bobby grew up in LA where he played with the junior Kings. What do the NJ Devils mean to him? If he were to ever come here, I doubt it would be because he wants to "come home." People don't like to leave California, especially rich people. I'd expect him to sign with a California team when he gets the chance.

And if you're curious, his father was eventually caught, and he served 5 years in Camden.

First preseason game against the Rags on Monday I hope we get to see some prospects and not Sestito and McKelvie and crew.

That's what I'm hoping. We've got all season to watch the vets, but preseasons our only chance to watch the prospects take center stage.

Kujawinski needs to step it up he kind of plateaud last season guy is a big center with skill he needs to find consistency I still think he was a good pick in the third round

Pretty good read

This is a long week. After trading TG's interviews of some of our prospects, perhaps the competition isn't such a bad thing. Maybe the kids could learn a few things from the vets, even though they're terrible.

And maybe Gomez sticks? A better option than Josefson? Either way, there's no room for either of them.

Looks like our bottom 6. Would be better with Jo in the middle? Carter? Gomez? Would be nice to have a strong 3rd line and a 4th line capable of scoring.

But we all know Clowe and Havlat will probably miss at least 20 games each. Elias and Cam will probably miss 10 games each. The depth is nice. It would still benefit us if we could move an extra forward for maybe a 3rd or 4th round pick.
